where can i find parts for penn reels? - 07/17/02 05:06 PM

I'm looking for better handles for my 209's, a 285, 309, and senator 113h 4/0 reels. Also better drags assembly, and aluminum side plates for my senator or any other parts i can customize my penns with. i've searched the web and have came back with nothing but the penn site and they only had factory parts. any help would be great.

I have seen after market handles in Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops, do not know if they will fit a Penn but you might try looking there.

The only place I know in this area is John's Sporting Goods in Everett. The guys name is John Martinis. He is the only Penn dealer left in Western Washington I think.

I've had him rebuild several reels for me and have had good success.

I've also ordered parts online directly from Penn.

R&R Marine Supply in Port Angeles, 360-452-7062, Paul there can put those reels together in the dark... and his clean/lube price is like $7.50 per reel... what a deal!!

Some guys in our fishing club have bought aftermarket handles for their Penns from him, if he doesn't have them in stock, he'll know where to get them.

Also, Stu at Narrows Tackle & Marine 253-564-4222 has some guy that he recommends down your way, not sure of the guy's name.
