OK, my honest opinion, VMC and Eagle Claw are crap, Mustad are adequate, Owner's cost too much, Gamagatsu's cost too much and the red paint comes off, and Vision's are about right. All are equally sharp after I touch them up with a needle file. And everybody on this board gets mad when we talk about hooks :p

I didn't see the other "Hook Thread" so guess I am not sure what I getting into.
I used the VMC Octapuss hooks. I tried them becaues I was loosing alot of fish on the Gamies. If you look at the twist in the hook you will notice that the VMC is twisted a bit more than the Gammies. I think that is why I had better luck with the VMC hooks. They are plenty sharp, and cost a bit less than the Gammies.
My all time favorite hook, that in my mind can't be matched for Steelhead size fish is the Mustad fine-wire hooks (I haven't been able to find them for a while). I had to sharpen every one by hand, but after a few swipes with the file there was nothing that even came close. Out of all of the hooks that I have tried (and I have tried them all) I have defiinately lost the fewest fish with these baby's.
use the search feature and you can see a lot of opinions on hooks for the past 2 1/2 years

Vic, I have a few thousand Mustad "fine-wire specials" that I would part with.
1/0 & 2/0 silver finish.
98550 is the hook number.
If interested make an offer per pack of hundred.
