Imitation Stee-Lee's - 09/25/02 08:55 PM
I caught some nice steelhead this spring on Stee-Lees. I noticed in the stores, there are imitations, also 1/2 oz, available in a 5 pack for a much lower price per spoon. These spoons, however are not as flat as the actual Stee-Lee. Anyone know if they're as good?

i have used those spoons for the last 5 years or so and have done very well with them. they tend to tarnish rather quickly but, you can't beet the price. i've also used the true stee-lee spoons to they are great also. the ones your talking about in the five pack i think are called half-fast spoons. nothing wrong with them, give them a try.
i have also done very well with the mortac spoons, but those are pricey!!! anyway, hope this helps.
