Hanford - where do people stay overnight? - 09/30/02 11:17 PM

I'm planning a weekend trip to fish Hanford, launching at the Vernita Bridge area. Where do anglers stay overnight? The nearest campgrounds look to be back at I-90 about 25 miles away. Is there caming right at the Vernita Bridge?
Thanks!

Cross the Vernita Bridge and turn left towards Vantage. If coming from Seattle head towards the Vernita bridge from Vantage. On your map you will see Desert Aire. Nice motel with boat parking, gas, restaurant, etc. Call information for the phone number.

What Thumper said, plus, a ton of people usually camp out at in the area of the bridge along the river. No real facilities last time I was there.

So it's OK to camp right there, kinda like what people do at the Blue Creek parking lot? (not my favorite way to go but whatevere gets me close to the water cool )

Check out this link. There is some good info and a hanford map. The downloadable postcard has some additional info also.

You camp at the upper boat launch above the vernita bridge.
