I got a fresh report yesterday that they were still rolling in front of BlackJack. Considering how good the fishing in the strait has been, maybe they're still on their way.

there in front of blackjack pretty good and other places but the last few days has been real better than before fishing from shore and the piers after work. I bet in a week or so there will be alot of schools going thru. its a wierd year. caught a chum, king and a silver in a row fishing a south sound estuary last week in the boat using a jig and bobber. never seen that before. Also checked Big Beef yesterday, but gilnetters were out in numbers and managed to net silvers holding for rain.
Went to Barker today with very few fish showing!
Only promising show is Gamble and BlackJack!

was at barkers myself tonight after work today.Saw a few fish jump at high tide and then nothing.Fish are still tide sensitive which to me means it is not going to rain for awile.

Got lucky at Barker Tues. afternoon... picked up a small silver 4.5 lbs. on a homemade spinner. Couldn't get close to the jumpers so I let the boat drift into them and hit 'em right when they rolled. Ticked that fish off enough to get 'um to bite. Mint bright with lots of sea lice, tasted mighty good. The fish I mean.

Fished Gamble today. Partner and I caught a fish each. Silvers finning all over shallow bay. Very few boats. One gillnetter but plenty of fish! Tried every lure in box. Suggestion is to try every lure in stock till you find one that works. And I do mean every kind of lure. Might just surprise you and the fish!

there is school after school on the migration routes. sight fishing them casting jigs like for steelhead but different. defintely alot of fish passing thru but alot of them are mature I think. casted into to many schools away from estuaries and not that many takers like last few years but definatly alot of fish.
