Uneven wear on trailer tires

Uneven wear on trailer tires - 11/02/02 12:37 PM

I have an EZ loader single axle trailer with my 18' Tiderunner on it. The other day I noticed that the tread on the tires is showing extreme wear on the inside of the tread face. I replaced the tires a couple of years ago and purchased tires that were meant for a trailer at the time. I cant have over two or three thousand miles on them. The trailer pulls straight and true and seems to be set up properly..........I can't figure out what the heck is making them wear so oddly. The guy at the Honda dealership said that maybe my bearings need replacement........maybe so, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Anybody out there got a clue whats going on? what

I had the same wear on my drift boat trailer. Turned out to be a bent axle. Take it to Les Schwab they`ll tell you what the problem is for free. Good luck. CascadeBob

check the bearings and the spidles of the axel. bearing that are shot or not properly seated may cause the problem. Jack up the trailer and see if there is any play in the wheels.
