This is roughly from memory, but since I seldom follow the recipe exactly anyway, here goes:

6 to 8 oz. smoked salmon flaked and chopped.
I pkg of cream cheese warmed enough to mix all the stuff in it.
about 1/4 onion chopped
about 1/2 green bell pepper chopped
some lemon juice
some soy sauce, to taste, go easy.
add some red pepper flakes, again, to taste.
Mix up all the above along with anything else that seems like it might go well with it.

Now roll the cheeseball in a bunch of finely chopped walnuts that you have already prepared. Then chill the salmon cheeseball (sounds like a kind of bait, doesn't it?) and then set it in one of those fancy dip dishes in the center of a tray, and add a bunch of expensive crackers. Serve and all your friends will think you really know what you're doing. I get compliments every time, and it's never the same twice.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Slam,
One of the easiest sreads is just to mix plenty of the salmon in softened cream cheese. Grumpyr does it that way, & it is a big hit with everyone.

Mine is similar to Salmo's

Two packages of cream cheese
3 T lemon Juice
2 t milk
Garlic or Garlic salt to taste
You could also use Cajun seasoning, or Johnnys salt, or any other seasonning to taste but stick with just one at first as the Cream Cheese will absorb and intensify the flavor.
1/4 to 1/2 cup grn Onions
Smoked salmon to tast and texture

Probably the most important thing left is to chill it in the fridge for at least 4-6 hours, but the longer the better as the flavors will mix.

Serve with some crakers or a bagel and your set, I've had people that say they hate salmon rave over it. laugh

Throw a couple chunks of smoked salmon in food processor and chop fine. Add 8 oz. brick (not tub) of creem cheese, half cup of mayo, 2 Tablespoons of horse radish sause, a dash of worchester sause. Blend in precessor till mixed up good then add half med. onion and chop till the onion is desired size.

I set this next to other salmon dips at gatherings and it always kicks butt.
