crabbing Chehalis

How close to aberdeen can you crab on the Chehalis and is it worth while?? I guess I need to check the regs to make sure you even can but if anyone has any info I would appreciate it . Anyone fished or crabbed at Westport the past week or two?

Yeah I crabbed grays harbor about a month ago and had three pots stolen while fishing. The pots that were left caught no keepers. Be careful leaving anything unattended around this area

Sorry to hear about the pots being stolen. I had a friend crabbing there a year ago and watched a boat take his pot until my friend caught up with him.

"Oh, I'm just moving it away from where we are fishing" was his answer.

Now, if you were crabbing a month ago, with a pot, as you stated you were crabbing out of season and you are lucky you didn't lose more than your pots.

Season is closed, to pots, Sept. 15th.
