Muzzles for Sparkey - 12/22/02 06:22 PM

With Bob Gibbons speaking at the March WSC meeting, God knows I'll need one if that b*stard is going to be able to get anything more then a sentance or so of his pathetic excuses and rhetoric in. evil

...now should I get myself really liquired up so I can go all out or should I hold back... fight

In your honest opinions, which one should I go with??? :whatsign:

If it was me id get all liquired up and go all out but for me it dosent take being liquired up to go all out I get tooo emotional to hold back even if im sober. laugh laugh laugh

No really dont hold back just say what you think. People that are reasonable will be constructive with it even if they dont agree and people that arnt well then you will just piss them off and you will know that they really dont give a rats ars and are full of bull anyways.

You can never go wrong with saying what you think even if its not the popular opinion.

Calm down, Sparks!! You'll make it through the night some how.

Anyway, you behave better with the prong collar, not the muzzle. evil

And the quote of the day from him:

Every single fish that spawns over our escapement goal is a waste

Sorry, not a big fan of the kill 'em all until we have no more fishing mentality ...

Should prove to be an interesting night!

The fact is the People want C&R of Wild Steelhead and We have proven that to Bob Gibbons and yet, he ignores the Public...

...thus, I think it would be very important for as many of us to show up as possible...this wont be a typical situation where he is answering to his colleagues at the WDFW but at that March meeting he will be answering to an angry public...in a small room!!

Maybe...just maybe that will have some sort of effect!!!

Now, now, Ryan...Bob is making a pretty cool statement by agreeing to speak at our next meeting...and we'd make no headway by getting mad or making him mad.

Don't forget who's making policy decisions in Olympia regarding steelhead management...we'd like to have him on our side, not angry with us.

I look forward to finally meeting you, Rich, I hope you do make it out.

As usual...come a half hour early, everyone, and we'll have a beer before the meeting.

Fish on...

Todd.

With Bob Gibbons speaking at the March WSC meeting,

I thought you said it was the March Meeting?

If its January there is no way I could get the night off if its January 8th

Re: Muzzles for Sparkey - 12/26/02 05:29 PM

Ryan,

You could just make a fool of yourself and further convince Gibbons that he's right to ignore you. Or you might ask him what contributes most to the Quilayute system being the best steelhead fishery in the world: 1) all the headwaters are in a national park; 2) the heavy rain makes the rivers unfishable to recreational and commercial fishers alike for much of each season; 3) the excellent management of WDFW. If he answers 3, then ask why all rivers under WDFW management aren't the best steelhead fisheries in the world.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Re: Muzzles for Sparkey - 12/27/02 12:36 AM

Salmo.

Your jokeing about the Quileute Being the best in the world right?

The Skeena system, The Nass system, The Karluk, The SiTuk, The Dean, not to mention north eastern Russia.

The current Quileute is a joke compared to these. Maybe 50 years ago it could have compared or surpassed but compared to these it is truely sick. To put the current Quileute in the catagory with the systems listed above is ludicris.

Ya know the funny thing is that some of the rivers listed above even have more presure and far less escapement than the Quileute and they are still far better steelhead fisheries.

Salmo g.-
This thread was more or less an attempt at humor...I have many questions that I would like to ask Bob, as a much as I would rather not be civil about the whole affair, it is in the best intrest of all of us and the fish to not make a scene!

Re: Muzzles for Sparkey - 12/27/02 01:08 AM

Im sick of this crap Maybe its time guys like Bob Gibbins start asking us questions instead of us asking him questions.

Ill tell you what I may not be paid by the WDFW but I can tell you how many fish are around and how many reds I see year after year. And how the fishing is better or worse.
