'Cuz Santa sure doesn't like Forks fishermen right now umbrella

Here's the 4:30 update of 24 hour high / low / precip:

FORW1 :FORKS : 47 / 40 / 4.75 / +

Almost 5 inches in the last 24 hours and it's STILL pouring!

Good thing that it's snowing above 3000 feet or else the 8 foot rise we've seen in the Calawah could have been 18 feet smile

Guess I'll just roll ove and have some chips and dip and not worry 'bout tying leaders :p

They are calling it the strongest winter storm in years with some dangerous winds...but they predict the snow level will hover around 3000 down to as low 1000 feet.

Should keep the devasation to a minimum!

This next one looks to be a real MONSTER. Keep your head down!

Bob;
What do you think the outlook for the next 3 to 5 days, as far as fishability is. I can break out the #2 corkies with 4/0 5/0 doubles and beathead

My leader wallet is full. Corkies sorted by size and color. Plugs all have new EWG's. I'm ready!

Sparkey, Sparkey, Sparkey. Don't they teach you anything at UW? It's "devastation", not "devasation". beathead You forgot a letter.....shame on you! I'd expect that from WSC students, but you are a Husky so live up to your reputation, kiddo.

Why don't you give a brotha a shout so I can pick on you in person :p Got some good things going on locally and besides, who else can you trust to keep the non-flyfishing side of you in check wink They say that good things come to those who bait ya know thumbs

Hey Kid, what's up?

Guess I don't really need those rags or jigs now. Probably won't get out on the river for a while. I'm going to try to fish with Keith on the 31st, but that's probably it until I get to fish with Bob in early February.

Due date is th 17th. Could be any day now.....

The rivers up here haven't even risen yet because of the low snow level. hope it stays that way or slowly melts off.

Right on parker so I guess no flotilla for you?

Bob it could get worse as I just got a call here putting me on standby. What with the High Wind Watch in effect I might have to man the Jefferson County EOC in the morning if this thing does hit.

We're happy things didn't hit as expected here ... no trees down in the yard or the like. We were a little nervous about heading out of town for Xmas but alas, it missed us smile
