Master Guide Wading Boot - 12/27/02 10:13 AM

Got a pair of these for x-mas. Was wondering who all had them and what you thought about them. Good, bad or the ugly.. Also, are there any tips or suggestions for taking care of these boots for maximum life and use?

Thanx.

I have that exact pair and I really like them. I now use a pair of guideweight simms with boots so I dont wear them as much.

They give great ankle support, and I have done nothing special to take care of them, throw them in the truck and put them away when home, I never wash em or treat them with anything, and they show no signs of any real wear, other than on the felt.

A nice boot, you should enjoy!

ive got a pr. that is a yr old and they are splitten at the seams. i do love them tho.im sending them back to cabelas and im sure they will send me a new pr. As they are really good bout that stuff. they are heavier than most but after a while you dont even notice and the comfort outways the weight easily.

p.s. i do fish alot and put a lot a miles on my boots wink

Ive had mine for about a year and half. Its almost time to replace the felt, put a lot of miles on these. Have had no problems at all with them, and they get abused, not taken care of like they should. They were quite stiff when new, and it took a while to break em in, once they were, very comfy.
Great ankle support too, helps when walkin those muddy trails and the risk of turning your ankle.

i was headed to the Deschutes last summer when it donned on me that my simms spiked boots were still at home. My buddy said I could borrow his dads once we stopped quickly for a visit. They were beat up, split and generally a mess. I wore them alot on that 3 day float. They were great even in that beat up shape. They must have been years and years old.

Sounds as if they are pretty good boots! I'll be out tomorrow to start breakin' em in. Thanks all for the input laugh
