Letty Potter trip this Saturday - 11/03/10 05:33 PM

A buddy of mine has to cancel on a Letty trip for this Saturday. He asked that I put this up (does not post).
It's $200/rod.
Give me a call if you want to take over the trip.

I'm going to be in that area this weekend and have a place to stay if you are also looking for that (not associated with Letty just a rental house me and a couple of buds are renting this weekend).

You are right Jake. I even tried deleting it and can't.
I didn't really think about it....figured she was no threat to Bob.
Then you get into the whole tribal fishing thing.....bad choice on my part.

Jake,

I know you have a hard-on for Letty. How about letting it drop.

I talk to Letty on a regular basis. Good friend of mine, as is her husband Rich, and a few of her other friends. A nicer fisher-lady you won't find, except maybe Marsha.

Bob is a big boy, there is literally no competition between Letty and Bob, as they fish entirely different rivers. Bob is a great guide and has a set of rules he abides by. Letty has a set of rules she abides by.

Been there and done that with Letty, where we were fair hooking and landing 27 steelhead, 8 silvers, and a few kings on Thanksgiving morning before we left at 11:00am. Going 9 for 18 on steelhead hurt that day, but I got over it pretty quickly.

Yup, she has snagged a few fish in her past. No doubt there, but she can also fair hook a fish out of a mud puddle. Fished with her maybe 15 or 20 days. She doesn't need to snag fish, as she is pretty awesome at fishing pocket water.

The QIN rivers are all about access. Want to let a native steelhead go, well, that is up to the individual fisherman. There are enough big fish there that you don't need to bonk a nate, but those of us who have fished the Cook Creek run before they hit the creek know there is a huge hatchery production there. The lake hatchery also puts out some hogs. Major steelhead hogs over 20 pounds.

Isn't it past your bed time?

So how many times have you fished with her Jake? How many fish have you seen her snag? Be specific, please. Where were you fishing, what were the conditions? Boat, bank, or.......

Is this first hand knowledge, or hearsay? Enquiring minds want to know, and believe me, I know.

Re: Letty Potter trip this Saturday - 11/04/10 12:21 AM

Ok...ABU ....ALL GUIDES ARE NOW CALLED OUT ...what guide has not killed a native steelhead>>>>???
It has happened (dude I did) -but I also am looking at a 29lb replica of a nate I caught on the ??..now we are all aware of what has been done and to be aware to what we all have done..If "letty" is on native waters then ..let it go .it is what it is. ck the THompson River and Whitey braggin bout the 30+ pounders their nets harvested. It's all species of humans over havesting if you look at it from a sporty bro...just gotta kill it..

We as Sporty's dont blame .....cuz.guilty as charged..look for improvement..

I would fish with Letty..I have fished with Bob.more than once..Abu ..Have you.and any of you who are members fished with Bob?

ok Abu ......if you want to be right that is fine..The board owner can speak for what he follows..state regulations and Fed..regs. and the original post that put your panties in bundle....I am pretty sure..is all good with Bob witch you have confessed to not pay for fishing and that is what supports the site you like to post your opinion..

I was speaking against your regular bashing of Letty, Jake. Time for it to end, but of course, you will likely choose the opposite.

And when I spoke out about a guide taking his jet sled 12 miles up the Nooch from White Bridge, it was first hand knowledge, with photos. We know what transpired after that. Want to go further?

Re: Letty Potter trip this Saturday - 11/04/10 11:22 AM

Don't ask me what I've witnessed from Letty in the past @ Cook Creek for silvers or steelhead.Been there 6 times and every one of them she had the first hole closed up with her snaggin customers, every time I've walked down to the next hole and floated egg's and got-r-dun.Seen it been there and can't stand to watch it.Maybe she doesn't in the big river, but she does in the creek.By the way,I like Letty just not how she let's clients snagg and when they can't get-r-dun she does it for them.Beleive me I know,I fished next to her a few times and had her niece as my tribal guide "Misty" I think her name was.Good luck,
SZ

Jake have fun with the hot girlfriend.
Andy good luck with the elk in that spot.
SZ maybe I'll see ya over there again this weekend (that was me telling you that you were out of shape on the Quil that day it was blowing a few weeks ago).
I'm heading out to put the wood to some fish and dig some clams and maybe shoot a grouse or two for dinner.
I'm thinking this is going to be an epic weekend.
Coho I don't know ya but I like your style.
RR and CP give me a call tomorrow and I'll let you know what's up.
