I don't recall my license ever being suspended, let alone being stopped with a suspended license three times, one of those times going 118 mph...............in a rental car rented by an employee of the school I attended.

Here's how to hit a Duck.

Where he was caught is towards the end of a 37 mile straight stretch of I-5. In my young and dumb days I got in a road race on that stretch of road. We stayed even until 130 then I started to pull away. This was also about 4 in the morning. On the way back to Eugene I kept it down to 110.
I am not agreeing with what he did, I just know that it has been going on since the freeway was built. That straight stretch is just too inviting. Looks like the cops are finally patrolling the area in the early morning hours.
I may have been an idiot for driving that way, however I'm sure many of you have suffered through the pedal to the metal days. I don't think most of us are or were "thugs".

While that may or may not be true, he certainly needs to be held accountable, IMO. Good Athlete?..no doubt. But right now he's doin' stuff that could be life changing in a bad way. And that's no good. Time to put the brakes on......hard. Maybe he'll figure out that it's hard to be cool when the spotlight don't shine on you....I'm all for yankin' his arse and letting him think about it, with a whole lot of tough love happening at the same time.

The difference, DD, is this guy is a scholarship athlete. More is expected of them, and rightfully so.

Don't even get me started on the fact that a university employee rented the car and then let him drive it.
