can anyone explain how the NFL enforces the paying of fines. is it simply deducted from the players paycheck? or does the fined player actually give it the team president?

next, where does the fined amount actually go?

there was alot of fines that got dropped on players this year. some fines are given out for just stupid things players do during games. where does this years fine totals measure compare to other years?

anyone know this stuff?

And to the fund for the retired players. Lots of guys suffering all kinds of post playing issues and the union didn't really recognize that 20 years ago.

Let them play ball. They're big boys. There is such a thing as insurance for injuries. Sorry for being so callous.

The commissioner thinks he can fine tackling out of the NFL. I used to enjoy watching a team earn a touchdown.

What it will do hopefully is make players return to proper tackling form. Wrap the player up instead of launching your body in the attempt to knock the ball loose. Pete Carrol is ahead of the curve here as this emphasis on tackling will most likely reduce the amount of zone defenses being played, corner backs will need to be bigger and longer to do a better job of defending 1 on 1 as more man to man coverage will ultimately be used.

It says somthing, too, that Marshawn got fined more for his Skittles shoes than some guys got fined for cheap shots.
