I do like to dig, but, because I have a job, I can afford to pay someone to do my digging for me...

I also don't care for freeloaders... my sister, the one I like, is married to one. He quit a nice paying job as a broom stand at Boeing because he "couldn't handle the stress of dealing with people". It was more like, he couldn't handle the stress of everyone around him that hated his know-it-all - done-it-all - or know somebody who has done it all - personality disorder.

Now my sister, the one I like, works two jobs to support his lazy ass and their two kids. while he sits around on L&I/unemployment and does exactly what you do... spouts off his know-it-all bullsh!t on the internet all day. (but not till after 1 pm because he is still in bed)...

what do you mean eat his pride? all he did was bet on baseball games... yeah he spent the time in prison for tax evasion, but that was money he acrued from autographs and bats and jerseys and sh!t, if i started selling off all my cards, i wouldnt have to pay taxes, why should he?

he gets a ban from the HOF, but McGwire and Palmiero both get nods for the ballot... as well as Bonds and Clemens, and Sosa...

as far as i see it, Pete was just having fun playing a "game" involving the "game" he was part of... he certianly didnt cheat to make himself something he wasnt... his stats are true talent stats, no bullsh!t, all him... cant say the same for other people that are given the chance to get in...

As for his HOF, his number's definitely warrant inclusion BUT unfortunately for Pete, he lied about his gambling and pissed off the commissioner which is a big no no. All he had to do was beg a little and he would be in by now but instead he decided to get into a pissing match with baseball. Too bad, he was a hell of a player and he is one that I loved as a kid.
