Congrats and Cheers. It's a big moment in a man's life, but you are now DOOMED forever more and will find yourself stopping by after work once or twice a week to fill up a freshie or two. Let me know how that Son of Malice turns out.

Son of Malice is good....not great IMHO.
But..............I'm in love with with the Citra Hop.
I need to exert my non-existent influence on those boys to produce a high-power summer IPA using the Citra hop.

I yearn yearn for the DC'ed Widmer Shaddock IPA

Re: Growler Virgin - 03/13/14 10:08 PM

Thanks for the heads up on SoM...I'll pass unless you are in love with it.

Here's two Citra Hop brews that can occasionally be found locally.

Kama Citra Wet Hop Ale - Elysian Brewing Company
and
Single Hop, Single Farm Citra IPA

Lastly - check out this link. They are a beverage delivery service and they have a crazy large selection. They are based in Redmond and you can visit their store to purchase directly. There are 4 Single Hop, Single Farm Citras left in stock. Better hurry DD!

Sooo many good beers around here!!

Re: Growler Virgin - 03/14/14 02:03 AM

DD, you're on the path to becoming a full-on homebrewer! The Brewer might suggest the mass production zone is where it's at, but the sub-nano zone in my garage does me just fine.

Glad you are getting into the great micros that are to be had.

Drink local,

Re: Growler Virgin - 03/14/14 02:55 AM

Right on DD. I rarely buy any macro beers any more, because with so many good breweries around, why buy sub-par canned or bottled beer?

If you are ever up in the Woodinville Area let me know and NickD90 and I will show you a few great breweries.

Joe, just down the street where the target is, at the far end of the strip mall is a BevMo. BevMo is new to the northwest. they have a great selection of taps for filling growlers. their price to fill is good too.

+1 for BevMo Brewer. I like it. I like it a lot.

Re: Growler Virgin - 03/14/14 07:20 PM

there's another mega new store also that is in the Couve area called Wine and more. it is the true Costco of all things alcohol. bevmo is big but wine and more is just huge! they also have the growler fill option.

If you like IPAs, do yourself a favor and get your growler filled with some Boneyard RPM or Hop Venom. Brewed in Bend. You can thank me later. grin

Add Boneyard "Armored Fist CDA" to that list. 10% ABV but you would never know it from taste. I think Boneyard is putting out the best beers in the NW right now.
