Less the 30 days away from kick-off. State your team and predict their record at the end of the regular season. Any other [Bleeeeep!], trash talk etc is always welcomed.
I'm going full-on Petersen homer and saying the Dawgs win 10 games this year, and rattle the Pac 12 with their rise from the ashes.
An adult is finally in charge of the program, and I'm looking for serious results. If that fuckin' donkey Sarkesian can win 8 games, coach Pete should be able to better him by at least 2.
I agree that the Trees will (should) win. They are a lot better now. Better coaching for sure. Likely to be in the 50 to a few range. Last couple of years the Ags have done ASU and Berzerkly. I believe next year they visit Eugene.
Back in 86 the Ags didn't give athletic scholarships. I believe it was around that time that they won NCAA DII basketball.
Hmmmm...bout only thing i know fer sure is SunDevils coming to Husky Stadium to put a beatdown on Dawgs for 10th straight time, ill be there lickered up in Devil gear watching the show...cheers
You guys are fuc.ked. We have an adult in charge of the program - a guy with an damn impressive winning percentage, and a couple BCS bowl wins. The sh!t-show at Montlake is over.
You fuckheads had your runs. All of you failed to go undefeated, and all of you failed to bring home an MNC.
I haven't looked forward to a season like this since I graduated. I think it's time to have a kick-ass pro football team AND a kick-ass college football program here.
Frank, Sark is down in SC where he belongs. Sark was an assistant coach - not a proven commodity. CP has an impressive track record, even if it was with BSU. Been going to UW games since late 80's, and believe the Dawg dynasty is coming back.
All you shiny object chasing, Phil Knight sniffing Ducks had your chance at the Dance and blew it. GAME OVER
DD is familiar with Petersen.......after BSU bitch-slapped the Pondcrappers a couple times during their "glory years". lol
When you call BSU a "backwoods program" it reflect badly on you because they beat your asses. So get some more paste to eat, and tell us how a backwoods program like BSU owned the big-time football school called UO.
Oregon will just throw more money at the program... Recruiting coordinators, flashy ESPN ads, camps, hookers, etc... doesn't matter. backwoods beatdown is coming
3/4 of my posts are directed to clowns like you who do schit like vote GOP "For the Economy"...and that is clearly the "guy who's obligated to tell the fuc.kers who are talking sh!T out their a$$ all the time who they are" side of the ledger.
Between you, Sol Dunce, Scabby, the Rev, and Choad there is enough room for ten guys to rack up 20K posts pointing and laughing.
The rest are actual fishing reports...since I actually go fishing.
Now you are talking perspectives Yankster. And there is only one way to get past individual perspectives, you do a poll or survey, and I'm sorry to point out that your survey says, in the air of our favorite pastime television show, X
Taco. Lots and lots of Taco these days and its glorious.
Seriously - this is the first college ball season in a long time where I'm a bit baffled. Lots of good teams out there, but I can't pick a winner. The Trees will do fine and it'll come down to the Ducks game for the Pac 12 winner. I have OSU winning the Big 10 ahead of my Huskers which sucks (reality and all that)....

I think Stanford is going to be good, but not great...I think the Dawgs may be 6-0 when the UO Ducks game comes along. Playing Stanford here in Seattle will be the toughest part of that 6-0, but it's very doable.

I didn't go to college right after H.S. for a number of reasons. Stupid wasn't one of them.
Stanford accepts students other than those straight out of high school.
I'm sure they would have welcomed you with your HS gpa and SAT scores, though.
Or not.
Whichever.
GPA and SAT wasn't a problem.
Not having rich parents paying tuition was.
gotta' call bull Hank. I'm thinkin' GPA and SAT was the problem. My daughter didn't (and still doesn't) have rich parents when she attended Stanford, so it ain't lack of money that prevents one from attending there.
And while I sent more $$ to Stanford than I spent on myself at UW (given it was a generation apart) I'm still rootin' for the DAWGS.
My beloved Huskies win 9 games this season, and that might be stretching it a bit with no real experienced QB to lead the team. I think Miles will be the guy, but it's going to take him a few games to get in the groove again. I won't harsh on anything Petersen does for the next 3 years or so. Once he has a roster of his own recruited talent than the heat will be on him.
I'd be really happy if we just beat the Quacks and the Sun Devils - if nothing more than to shut up Summerrun and any/all Orygun bandwagon followers out there.
I'm not sold on Petersen like DanS is, but am looking forward to seeing what he can do with the team.
All I know is that I have my plane and game tickets to Hawaii for the opener! I also know that I have my UW season tickets and that we have a home game every weekend in September! I might be tailgated to death by the 1st of October!
Sadly, I think the Pac-12 title will come down to Orygun, Standfurd or F-U SC again.
And no, WSU is not winning 10 games, let alone 9 or even 8. That coach is still lucky to have a job after the Epic-Cooging of their last bowl game. Seriously, WSU took "Cooging" to a new level of Cooging that was unheard of before that bowl game. Damn, way to set the high bar, Coogs!
PS. Unless you attended, graduated from, played football for, own season football tickets to, or currently work for, a Pac-12 University, all-y'all are nothing more than riding the bandwagon. Enjoy the ride, Posers.
PS Hank, I didn't finance my daughter's Stanford education, she did. If you gots the GPA and SAT, that's possible. I just helped. And it's the whole package that's now $44k a year, not just the tuition. It was $33k then. Tell me again how it was a lack of rich parents that prevented you from attending. BTW, if I wasn't a UW alum, I'd probably be a Tree fan too. I'm on the Huskies for 9 wagon this year.
Yeah I had to throw the 10 win Wazzu bait out there. Here's the Pac 12 blog power rankings, ESPN Pac 12 Blog :
Oregon UCLA Stanford USC ASU Washington OSU WSU Arizona Utah Colorado Cal
Oregon lost their starting LT USC lacks depth because of NCAA sanctions ASU O-lineman comes out of the closet - Summerun will love this WSU just got immediate help at safety UW secondary is weak but may burn Budda's redshirt

Re: College Football 2014 - 08/14/1409:12 PM
Hank is pretty much Stanford alumni since he was a shoe in for the token retard spot at Stanford, its just too bad that he had different priorities at the time.
P.S. I didn't think it was possible but ol Hank's posting habit has become even more persistent since he got canned at work.
If you were a lightweight and couldn't party then Wazzu wasn't the place for you! But that all changed when Idaho raised the legal drinking age and the school stopped referring to WSU as Wazzu.
You ride whatever bandwagon suits you, crusty. I hear 'bama, LSU, FSU, and Oregon still have some openings on their bandwagons for hangers-on if you decide SU isn't doing for you any more.
Shoot, UW has plenty of bandwagon room. Climb aboard - people might actually believe you got into to UW and not know you're a bandwagoner. (nobody believes you could have gone to SU).
Paker - Hank called you old. I graduated from UW in 1989 - when did you?
I sure enjoyed that springer trip with Keith. That NFL was really something back then.
The students in the WSU School of Animal Husbandry will score more often than Wazzu's football team. Following another cooged-it loss in the Apple Cup, a distraught senior player will throw himself behind a slowly moving tractor. WSU will win five games and once again be denied a berth in the "Bob's Used Cars on N. Division Bowl".
Meanwhile, across the state, the Dawgs will win eight games and head for a bowl game in some southwestern city.
Then all bets are off....and Bigfoot will return to his rightful place as ruler of the planet.
Hey Coog,
Iil Twitch is gonna have company in a few months. May have to set up another diaper wager Hell, the game is in Beavland, may even have an extra ticket...
Nick refuses to listen to me. As long as Big Red has Pelini as their coach, they'll win nothing.
I mostly agree with you Stone. I'm not the biggest Pelini fan by any measure, but he does have one of the (4) best starting records of all time (but zero to show for it). They got close in 2010 when the refs handed Texas the win, but that's about it. It's been 7 years now since he's taken over and the natives are starting to get restless. NU has a pretty tough schedule this year, so I'm not holding my breath for a big season. I also don't want to win the B10+4 just because someone else got hurt. Still love my Huskers though and will cheer regardless...
Bill Moos is on the radio now. He stated this is the last year the Cougs will play in Seattle. It took him 6 years to figure out there are no real Coug fans just a bunch of peawits rooting against the Dawgs!!
Too bad as I was sort of looking for an excuse to go. I haven't been to a non apple cup Coog game in over a decade. At least with Leach they are entertaining. Even if that entertainment is bringing Cooging it to new ever more epic level

Some things just go together, like flat beer and stale pretzels, clowns and circuses, and peawits and Pullman. Maybe, 2014 will be the year Bill Moos and Mike Leach give Coug football fans something to root for...
Iowa Hawkeyes 11-2 Close loss to Michigan State in the Big Ten title game, sending the Spartans, and not the Hawkeyes, to the Rose Bowl and one of the four playoff spots.
Too fuckin' drunk all the time to remember what their own campus looks like...........
lol
Why would they remember what a classroom building for higher education looks like? Its not like they've seen one before; let alone been inside of one. Now if it was an old dusky barn filled with sheep - then yeah...they would notice.
And half that crowd will be Husky fans. I think I'm the only guy in my section not going.
Sorta reminds me of last year walking to Soldier Field. We come around the corner and a little ol lady in Illini gear lets out a, "Holy [Bleeeeep!] look at all the Husky fans!" To which her old man replies, "They even brought a [Bleeeeep!] band." Their grand kid about ten years old summed it up perfectly, "We suck."
Stanford Band - A bunch of overly smart college kids not getting laid, so rather then beating their own meat they beat their instruments and run around dressed like a [Bleeeeep!] tree.
So...USC Cornerback Josh Shaw is a big ol' hero...jumped off of an apartment building balcony, spraining both ankles, and crawled to the pool and was able to get in the water and save his young nephew from drowning.
Except...that there was no nephew. Or a drowning.
Shaw admitted that he just didn't want to get in trouble with the team and made up the story about the drowning nephew, and that he just jumped off the balcony because he was being a dumbass.
And it now looks like that the reason he jumped from a second floor balcony was connected to having a fight with his girlfriend, and he has been named in a burglary report connected to the incident, but has not been sought as a suspect.
P.S. Back to the big national game of the week that everyone's talking about...
WSU v. Rutgers
( )
...WSU is favored by 8 1/2 points, and though I will be kinda surprised if the Coogs don't win, I bet Rutgers covers that spread easily and the Coogs win it in a squeaker, probably by 2...unless they Coog it, which is always a possibility.
And on a related note...I bet the Huskies will beat Hawaii by at least three touchdowns, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them hang 45 or 50 points on the Warriors.
I don't think an article in the Inlander saying that Halliday is disprespected and "Hopes to get National Respect"...actually counts as national respect.
Heismann hopes are a pipe dream when you play on a team that will have six or seven losses

Maybe if the Coogs had cow pie throwing or goat roping contests before their big Seattle Game, they'd attract more interest from their Seattle alumni base.
The funny thing was the Cooger hayseed who thought the number of tickets being sold for the UH/UW game was somehow relevant to the discussion about the Coogers only selling 26k tickets to their game at the clink.
I was just downtown near the Clink. Very few Coog fans around, so IMO the stadium is gonna be real empty and real quiet.
They could probably push ALL of the fans (all 12 of em') to one end of the stadium; play OT rules ; put the ball on the 25 yard line the whole game and nobody would probably notice a damn thing. Who knows, maybe someone will score that way? Maybe they could do a two-fer and get a HS girls field hockey game going on the other end? At least the skirts and scoring would be real.
One whiffed game does not a track record make. Lest we forget I called the SB match up before the 2013 season started AND picked Indy to upset the Hawks on the road last year when everyone else was already balls deep into the team's starfish.
GO COOGS! You happy now? I really don't have an opinion of the Coogs or Dawgs. I do about Oregun and that's f'em right in the kitty. I'm just glad college ball is starting back up BU...great time of year to drink, hike, fish and watch college girls in the stands.
Folks that might have attended the Coogs game are instead at home or in sports bars watching the Hawks pre-season game. Or mowing the lawn, having a beer, most anything else I 'spose.
The Coogs, up by four points with Rutgers pinned down at their own ten yard line punting, seven minutes to go.
Catch punt at midfield, burn five or six minutes and score a TD to ice it, or at least kick a field goal and make it a 7 point game.
Or...the punt returner could fumble instead, and give the ball back to Rutgers at midfield...which, of course, is the Coog way, so that's what they do.
Rutgers has marched down and is just about to score a TD and take the lead.
In an unrelated story...USC player Josh Brown, the double ankle sprained drowning nephew hero burglar quits the team and calls Sark a racist in social media.

I was gonna say that. Anthony Brown = won't play for racist Sark Josh Shaw = would play for racist Sark, but spwained his wittle ankles being a burglarizing gf creeper
I am stoked to see three Pac-12 teams up there in the top right of that graph, UW, UCLA, and Stanford...and quite entertained to see the Ducklings far to the right on the "powerhouse" side, but far down the scale on the "embarrassing" side, as well.
Coogs...well, after last night they should move even more to the left and down.
KayKay...passing for 500 yards isn't hard in college football, especially with an athlete like Halliday chucking the ball, and especially when you pass every single play.
It is, however, a great way to lose every game against every halfass or better team when you pair it up with 14 rushes for 6 yards.
Leach's "Air Raid" is going to result in another sub .500 season for the Coogs if they don't either run the ball more and more effectively, or learn to play defense.
Since neither are likely to happen then last night is what you will get to see all season from the Coogs.
Combine no running game with no defense, and the Coogs' uncanny ability to Coog it against inferior teams...well, it adds up to a crap record.
I wonder how long WSU will let Leach blame it on his players rather than realize that his Air Raid isn't going to work in a real conference against real teams?
My first observation is fuc! Stanford. Until they open their books well fuckem! I'd probably have their respect more if their coach didn't have a stick up his ass and their alumni accomplished more than getting rich in DC and WALL Street while [Bleeeeep!]!ng up everything for the rest of us.
My second observation is Mora is in a great situation at UCLA. Not only is their campus in a great location but it's also one of the best public educations in the country. Throw in the fact that half their students are the kids of Hollywood stars, writers and producers it's amazing they lose any recruiting battles.
And lastly I'm not surprised eight of the 12 PAC schools are above the embarrassing line. Not surprised at the four below that line though.

Run the ball, stop the run, win the game. Football 101. Regardless of what fancy pants passing schemes come and go, if you can't do those two things well, you will consistently have sub-par seasons. IMO - Football is still football and that's the winning formula for championships.

+1 billion. UCLA is sitting pretty now that Pedey is long gone from the LA scene. They have a legit shot at becoming the new power broker in the Pac. U of O and Stanford should be on notice.
I've known a few guys who played football for Stanford. They were both really nice guys who were dumb as bricks hence the open up their books comment. Actually need good grades to get in to UW, UCLA and others but all you need to get in to Stanford to play football is well-the ability to play football and the blessing of the admissions staff. And then they throw around all this elitist bullsh!t like they are the most special football program on the planet. Well bullsh!t until I can see the grades of their incoming class just like we can see for all public schools!
And Shaw is just a whiney [Bleeeeep!] who thinks he's the [Bleeeeep!] because he's the head coach of the most special program in all the world. Fuckhim!!
Name me one Stanford grad who didn't play sports who isn't an elitist [Bleeeeep!]! Washington has eight grads who have been giving the Medal of Honor. Stanford has 800 grads who sent them to war and another 800 running academia creating good little liberals to protest the war. They're getting rich coming and going while they [Bleeeeep!] up everything for everyone else!!!
Fuckem!!
I may be the most surprised person of all that over the last decade I've come to hate Stanford more than Oregon.
And BTW last year when I typed virtually the same thing you agreed with me. I guess your getting the douschbag cool aide in your drinking water now too!!
I'm pretty happy with where my Huskers rank on that list. But as Stonefish points out, I'm starting to get impatient with the lack of major bowl appearances in the past 10 years. Pretty sure it has everything to do with moving away from the above winning formula for a few years. I want my will breaking Power I / True Option back. Sigh...I know I'm living in the past....but DAMN those results spoke for themselves didn't they?
Moving to the Big Ten was the best move Nebraska could do academically wise. Their endowments tripled when they switched.
Yep. It's not like that University didn't have enough money already, but now its just pouring in hand over fist. The profit sharing from just the B1G network revenues is obscene, let alone the endowments. The B1G knew what they were doing when they asked Nebraska to join. Besides tripling the number of the conference's modern national championships.
The vitriol for all things Texas, especially from former Big XII also-rans, is downright amusing. We're gonna miss the Faggies and the Cornholers. Those were sure wins on the schedule, every time.
No idea what this year's Longhorns will do, but I think Charlie Strong was just what the program needed. Watching from afar, it looks like he's doing away with the sense of entitlement and bringing in some good, old-fashioned work ethic. Will that translate to instant success? Probably not, but we'll see. My predictions:
1. Record: 8-4.
2. Bowl Game: Alamo.
Best win: Baylor. The Bears will come in having played nobody and thinking they're great, and the Horns will be hardened by the recent loss to UCLA and a tough win over BYU.
Worst loss: at Kansas State. They always suck in Manhattan.
FF02, I agree with you regarding Strong. Good coach who should bring them success, but only if your fellow alumni give him time to build his program. SF
Indeed. The Texas alums are a tough crowd to please, to say the least. I know I wouldn't want to work for them. Hell, I'm one of them and don't want to be associated with most. To be fair, with the amount of money that goes into the program, the bar should be set pretty high....
I've observed that the Husky fan base has pretty lofty expectations, too. I think they may be closer to satisfied this year. I think Peterson's a good one, and the talent level's pretty solid these days.
I think I'll have fun pulling for one or the other this season.
Bwahahaha. Little brother ran all over the Buff D. Gotta love it when the Rammies win the RMSD and shut the Peoples Republic of Boulder yappers right up.
My Spartans looked tough last night too.
Lots of big games today. GBR! And so it begins....
UCLA in a nail biter. Navy starting to fade. 20 mins until the 2014 edition Huskers! Tuna & salmon in the smoker. Drink in one hand; TV remote in the other. I love fall Saturdays. GBR!
Butt lickers looking like something other than number 25, trying to give this game away in the 4th quarter. Is this what a dynasty looks like? After witnessing the Beavs puke one out against PSU, I was worried about them winning any Pac 12 games, but now I've got hope. Huckin Fuskies look like sh1t.
The kid and I watched that game and though UW doesn't really deserve the win, I'll take it. I'm guessing Chow is second guessing some of the pay calls in the first half. I'd like to see a better run defense and the O-line, with all their combined starts, should have been able to run the ball better than they did. They limited turnovers and penalties and won the game but that was about it.
That was some sloppy-ass bullsh!t, but a win is a win.
They'd better get their fuckin' heads screwed on straight or they won't be so lucky next time. If Chow wasn't such a clown, UH would have won that game.
Not sure what I expected but I certainly HOPED for more than what I saw Saturday from UW. One positive note, UW had very little success on the run (the whole offense for that matter except one long pass play) but when the needed to run out the clock on the last couple drives, they somehow managed to squeak out a few first downs with the run, thereby running down the clock. Not much but a glimmer of hope for the future. They certainly need lots of help with the passing game.
Lindquist sucks, that much was obvious. Although he didn't hand over the game with a ribbon on top, he didn't do much to help us, either.
Having Miley Cyrus back for the next game should help, and that first game is always a bitch. Getting out of there with a win is good enough as long as we don't look so inept the next time we take the field.
I guess you can't beat the Sark out of a team in a few short months.
I'm in the camp that thinks a win is a win. Need a bright spot? How about a bend but don't break defense that limited the opponent (one that can typically put up a few points) to 16 points?
This is what I was talking about when I said in an earlier post that UW fans sometimes hold their teams to a "lofty" standard (much like Texas fans, who get a lot of well-earned criticism for the same). Unless you're in the BCS title chase and seeking "glamour points" (don't think UT or UW are in that discussion, even though both should have good seasons), any day on which you win is a great day.
Even the much maligned Texas faithful should be pleased with what they saw Saturday. Granted, the Mean Green of North Texas are not exactly a perennial powerhouse, but 96 total yards of offense for the opponent, with the only score coming on a fumble recovery in the end zone, ought to be a sign that the toughness and work ethic Charlie Strong promised to restore might well be delivered. BYU, who absolutely flattened them last season, will be a better test, to be sure....
I saw it. Beginning of the end for the Horns today. With the starting QB concussed and two starters from the OL suspended, this matchup looked bad from the get-go. Texas D kept it close in the first half, but BYU blew it wide open in the 3rd with 28 unanswered points. A lot of Texas alums will start calling for Strong's head after this one, but I'm inclined to give BYU credit. That is a GOOD team. Haven't looked at their schedule, but I'm confident, as long as Taysom Hill stays healthy, they won't lose many the rest of the way.
The Longhorns, on the other hand, may lose a few more than I projected. The offense looks absolutely pathetic, and I don't think David Ash makes them too much better. The defense will hold most teams close, but the inept offense will keep them on the field WAY too much, and good teams will wear them down, much like BYU did today.
I still say Strong's approach will reap rewards (if given enough time), but after the past few sub-par seasons, recruiting will be tough for at least a couple years. I think it will be a minimum of 4 years before they're competing at the top level again. If the boosters get impatient, it could be a lot longer.
Now I need a bandwagon to jump on... Any ideas? Don't have much faith in the Coogs or the Huskies....
They beat you barkrats by about 40 last time, and last year your asses got beat by Eastern, so rattling smack about UW just makes you look like a dumbass.
They beat you barkrats by about 40 last time, and last year your asses got beat by Eastern, so rattling smack about UW just makes you look like a dumbass.
Struggling to win ugly against a team the bark rats finished off in the first half? I don't know about you Dan, but if the butt lickers were my team, I'd be worried about beating any PAC 12 team.
Any Coogfan flapping his gums right now looks even more idiotic than he did three weeks ago, and that takes some doing. The Clogs are the worst team in the Pac 12 by a fairly large margin, the Pac 12 should consider dumping then and adding Eastern.
If the Dawgs, who are 2-0 you fuckin clowns, don't learn some defense we will give 153 points to teams like the Ducks.
UW could actually compete for the national championship......
in the FBS
Huskies suck
WSU could actually compete for two wins.....
in the PAC-12
if there was a foot of snow on the ground at Martin Stadium, 40 mph winds were a blowin', there was a white out at kick off, and Hell was frozen over... oh wait, that last part is redundant.
You're probably bitter, Suckmeister, because you're standing in line at the ATM again, waiting to withdraw cash to cover another humiliating Cougar loss.

It's obvious that you need to be clowned for your stupdity, but I want to make sure you are being clowned properly, so help me out.
Are you the kind of stupid that actually believes the stuff you are posting on this thread, or are you the kind of stupid that is just ignoring reality and forging ahead?
Steelheadman always leads the Cooger dumbass crowd.
Most Coogers just slink away when they come out of the gates 0-2 against what should have been lesser opponents. Not Steelheadman - he goes to the rooftop and hollers out "Look at me - I'm a dumbass!!"
It takes a very "special" kind of football "smarts" to talk smack about a 2-0 team when the team you are talking up is 0-2 and lost to two inferior teams...well, what should have been inferior teams, but clearly aren't, not to the Coogs.
I believe she using universal sign language for " two in the pink" coug's know that before they ever get to Pullman. Huskies like it in the stink hence the user manual they are all required to read at admission http://www.memecenter.com/fun/1164302/book-of-faggots
Have not seen the dogs play yet but I expected more . Husky fans are yakking up two low quality wins is nothing new , typical Husky behavior . I hope the team does better the fans can suck farts. I knew the cougs would suck with Halladay at QB. Everything points to one more year of sub par football in WA. Except for the Seahawks

43-8 got nailed in the ass by some Huskies, apparently.
It's not really a surprise he was mistaken for a bitch, though, is it?

Fish on...

Congrats on the 2-0 record! UW may just win 10 games this year. If we go 0-3 I'll shut up. How's Western's football program doing?
Congrats on the 2-0 record! UW may just win 10 games this year. If we go 0-3 I'll shut up...
Yes, two embarrassing wins are better than two humiliating losses. With another embarrassing win this weekend, the Huskies will be halfway to bowl eligibility. Should the Cougars suffer a third consecutive loss, the landslide of humanity off the WSU hay wagon will be immediate, dangerous, and devastating to the program. Even the concession workers will be defecting. It would be wise to wait until the Cougars go 0-4, before you bail.
Any Pac 12 team should blowout a FBS school, a Mountain West team, or a team from a lower conference.
EWU is scary fukking good on offense, their QB is monster.
I would guess triple digits against the cougs..
Being a Beaver fan, I can understand your pain of rooting for a mediocre team, but what I don't understand is talking sh!t when well you have no grounds to talk sh!t.
Here is my advice to you.
Get your lawnmower gas can, put 1 gallon in, dump it on your head and light yourself on fire. Perhaps your self sacrifice will ensure at least a 3 win season.
Even though the Coogs are delusional, they are pretty god damn funny and hit below the belt!

Time to bring this dead thread back to life, it's game day! Huskies are favored by 13 to continue their win streak. WSU will try to end their string of losses. Couldn't find the odds for that happening.
While wandering the auto accessories section of a local store, I noticed they had trailer hitch cover plates featuring WSU's logo on close out. Figured it was the last of the Cougar accessories to go, since the crimson and gray raccoon tails and fuzzy dice disappeared after the season opening loss to the "Scarlet Knights". It's sad when Walmart no longer wants to stock a WSU product intended only for covering up that ugly hole in your truck's rear end. I took it as a sign; my prediction for today's game: Portland State 24, WSU 21.
Will Portland State get their first ever win against a Pac-12 school?
Normally the answer would be a pretty definitive "no"...but in this case you never want to over-estimate the Coogs. After decades of stunning disappointments from the Coogs, highlighted by the first two abject failures this season, and a decent FCS team in Portland State, this could be the year.
I'm not going to pick PSU to win the game, but I'm not going to be too surprised if they do.
The Dawgs are playing the Illini, who are not very good...in fact the entire Big 10 doesn't seem to be all that great so far this year.
We're going rack up some points...the question is whether or not we will decide to play any defense this week.
If we don't it will look a lot like last week's game...lots of scoring and a close game that comes down to whoever has the ball last.
If we somehow learned how to play pass defense in the last week then we win by 17 points.
Nice win by the Huskies. Be interesting to see if their three wins impresses the pollsters. Portland State looks like they watched too many Cougar game films this week. They've already shot themselves in both feet and one hand. Gonna take an extreme Coog-it effort for the Cougars to lose this one. Last time I'm putting faith in a "sign" from the folks who brought us unpaid overtime, the 30 second bathroom break and Ol' Roy dogfood!
I sure hope Coach Opie and his staff take good notes on Spoiled Children's weaknesses. OSU is pretty good at Couging it, but our track record against SC has been good
The beauty of the 0-12 is that it happened in the PAC 10 . It is a record that will stand forever. The only team in the history of the PAC 10 to go winless . Tequila!

So what you are saying is the the whole state of washington is a D- college foot ball state? (actually technically an F state, because the cougs suck so Fukking much that even if the dawgs were 90% program, when average with a 0 program, its still failing)
Perhaps Washington should consider selling Pullman to Idaho to raise there football average..
There's a real nice write up on Leach at ESPN today.
Unlike the average Coog fan who lives and dies with each Husky victory I can pretty much give a rip about Wazzu one way or the other. I will say though that Coach Leach is one of my favorite people and has been for a long time now. One of the few people on my Id love to have a beer with list.
Leach is indeed a interesting character. Him doing the weather for a TV station and the girlfriend advice video while he was coaching TT were pretty funny.
The Coogs might be dangerous if they ever develop a running game. Similar to Norm Chow at Hawaii, they always revert back to the passing game. Abandoning the running game always comes back to bite them in the ass. Que up the Coogs bowl game from last year.
Then again, if they had a running game and were a dangerous team ...they wouldn't be the Coogs.
They'll be playing against the quackers second string defense most, if not all of the second half.
Maybe even part of the first half.....
Fair enough.
"Crab Legs" Winston is being sat down in the first half of the FSU / Clemson game for yelling an unsavory thing in the FSU Quad. "FHRITP!" or something to that effect. Apparently that is the new rallying cry ultra-douchey thing being said by our nation's Yutes these days. While I gently weep for our Republic, that could make things interesting for little bit - like the first half.
Second team quarterback will finish the game for WSU. It will be a mercy killing. Just remember, Steelheadman, the last two letters in WSU are SU, and the first two letters in SUCK are SU. Coincidence, I don't think so...
Oregon scores 58 on the Coogs, who come back in the fourth quarter to score 14 unanswered points against the UO cheer squad who will join the band on the field to give the fourth stringers a rest...and score 20.
Halliday passes for 330 yards and Cooger fans continue to wonder why he's not a Heisman contender and how the Coogs can lose when putting up so many passing yards, ignoring the fact that if you rush 6 times for 13 yards you will never win ever against anyone who isn't another crappy team like you.
How long until you clowns stop loving on Leach and the Air Raid and decide that you'd rather win a few games than do what you are doing?
Air Raid doesn't work in power conferences...they don't call them power conferences for nothing.
Oregon scores 58 on the Coogs, who come back in the fourth quarter to score 14 unanswered points against the UO cheer squad who will join the band on the field to give the fourth stringers a rest...and score 20.
Fish on...
Todd
...then the UO band comes in and breaks 3 of Halliday's ribs. For the coup de gras, they stuff Leach's head into a tuba. Halliday thinks it's funny as schitt but can't laugh due the the busted ribs.
A former NFL player was arrested twice locally on Monday, the second arrest came after the suspect hitched a ride from a deputy to the alleged crime. 55 year old Pullman area resident Toussaint Tyler was first arrested Monday morning by the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office. Tyler was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence assault for an alleged altercation involving his girlfriend at their trailer home on Albion Road. He was released on his own recognizance during his first court appearance Monday afternoon. A deputy provided Tyler with a courtesy transport from the jail in Colfax to Dissmore’s in Pullman Monday night. That’s when he reportedly tried to steal alcohol and sushi from the grocery store. Pullman Police then brought Tyler into custody for misdemeanor theft. The former New Orleans Saint played for the University of Washington in the late 70’s and early 80′s.
Breaking news: The national anthem will not be played prior to the WSU/Oregon game tomorrow. In its place, a moment of silence for the Cougar team will be held. Officials are requesting that WSU fans refrain from guffawing and making animal sounds during the observance.
In other news, former Cougar quarterback Ryan Leaf will not be attending this Saturday's game due to a prior commitment.

in addition, popcorn will not be allowed in the stadium...
To bad about Toussaint. He's a good dude and a fun guy to party with. Hopefully he gets his life together. First thing he should do is get the [Bleeeeep!] out of Pullman. SF

You're such a fuckin' idiot. Washington only ranks behind UCLA and USC in the all-time ratings in the Pac, and is typically ranked in the top 25 programs of all time. WSU doesn't appear in any ranking except teams that suck ass.
Your sorry-ass excuse for a program has never done anything of significance, other than produce the biggest draft bust of all time.
But don't let me stop you from letting the whole world know what a fucktard you are. Shout it out!
Keep the dream alive Sallly. Because everyone can remember the 0-12 seasons that USC, LSU, FLA, Alabama and the other known powerhouses put up in the last 30 years. 0-12 seasons are as rare as Bigfoot or Cougars claiming to be a power school. you and Unlce Rico hanging out in your van rubbing one out to tape of the 91 season with your balls hooked up to the time machine. Tequila mfer !
Keep comparing yourselves to the Cougs . You have 2X plus the athletic budget , 10x powerful boosters . I talk to people all over the U.S. from power programs and I never hear any of them compare themselves to anyone outside of the top 10 unless they happen to be playing them that week.

That's because we're not queer cocksuckers like WSU Coogers are. Of course we have 2X the budget and 10X the boosters. We have 10X the results, too, you cumguzzler.
Go kill yourself, little brother. Nobody will even notice your absence.
I'm fuckin' pathetic, I suck dick until I stagger around like Rod Stewart in the husky locker room just Like I do every season. Our program has been a f'n disgrace, no power 5 conference team has spent more for so little. We recruited USC and Oregon coaches and tried to copy their offense and defense.! Nothing works I should just fuk in kill myself.
This will be another long f'n Pac12 season as usual for us.
14 straight points after two quick four and outs, and a strip from the GS runner and our ball on the GS 25...as I said, commence second half laugher :-)

Watching this Husky game has been good preparation for viewing the WSU/Oregon game later. The Dawgs played like the Cougars in the first half, then they played like the Ducks in the second half. It'll be an easy transition into tonight's game. Get ready for some deja vu with a similar score in Oregon's favor.
wow... coogs in it at half. I hope the game comes down to the wire so everyone can see that Leach is an idiot and can't manage a close game or run the ball when needed.
Nah....Fuks score 4 TD's and don't give em a chance
Refs cooged it tonight. The missed PI call was obvious without replay. Might not have changed the game's outcome, but sure killed any chance for a Cougar upset. Moral victories don't count towards post season play...
Stupid Pac 12 refs missed a few PI calls. Anyway gave up too many big plays to Oregon. Also dropped a pass that would have been a 1st down but had to settle for a FG.
As of right now, if the Ducks can get out of the PAC 12, Derrick Henry and Alabama would plow through the Quacker D like Moses parting the Red Sea. 6'-3" 241# Speed of a scat back with the power of a full back. This kid is awesome...looks like the second coming of Jim Brown.
Hundley will go, but that elbow will prevent him from taking direct snaps among other things. ASU will pull off the upset as much as I'd like to see UCLA win.
The Dawgs have a slight chance if that D-line can get it going against the Trees rebuilt o-line.
If the Cardinal want to win they better learn how to score some points...I think the Dawgs are going to put up a pretty good pile of points themselves.
The inconsistent Stanford offense against our inconsistent defense...I think it really depends on who shows up the most.
I will go the opposite way . I think Peterson has been sitting on some weapons waiting for P12 play. I think he is going to unleash Miley Cyrus and the dogs will beat the trees 43- 24 . Then the obnoxious Husky fans will start in like the douches they are.
Cougars have already had a successful season; they won a game and didn't piss all over themselves last weekend. Halliday will throw 75-85 passes in a losing effort this weekend. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was...
The Dawgs are not playing as good as their record indicates. The Stanford game will be a good test to see if this team gels and rises up or flounders... Husky stadium should be full, energy level should be great, Stanford lacks big play makers... we'll see
Not sure if this belongs in the CFB thread or Hawks / Niners thread.
Being currently in B1G country at the moment, I'm hearing some rumblings that Michigan is after Harbaugh (again) to replace Brady Choak. The Skunks pay Choak about $4.1M and Harbaugh currently makes around $5M. With some cajoling and a fat increase, they think he could be talked into it. This is all speculation of course....
That rumor pops up every tome another anonymous source says Harbaugh is "losing the locker room" in SF. That being said...I think winning is all they want from Harbaugh and they'll put up with all hos douchebaggery so long as he is winning...a few more losses in SF and those rumors will start having some teeth.
Wins: Picked Seattle / Denver SB before the 2013 started and anyone else on the board (win) Picked 2013 Indy to upset the Hawks in a trap game (win) Won IR's Prediction thread last year. Picked Hawks 34 - Packers 17 (win / closet score pick on the board) Picked Hawks 27 - Denver 20 (win / closet score pick on the board) Picked BU to score with a Goat the night of the Ducks / Cougs game (win)
Losses: Picked Denver in SB (lost) Picked ASU to upset UCLA (lost)
I'd pretty much say I have the BEST track record on the board over the past 2 seasons.
However, what have you picked? Hawks to win the SB, WSU to score 31 on the Ducks and that hot Ninny down the road. Congrats?
Not an ego trip and lots of things I'm not an expert on, nor never claimed to be. Just stating the facts of my previous record on this board. I'm ok at picking games and have been lucky (and unlucky) a few times on here. I'd trade em' all to have been right on the SB. Can't win em' all. It's all good...
I went to the Husky game yesterday and was treated to row 13 seats, which was plenty close enough to see two things.
1. Our play calling was terrible on offense.
2. Cyler Miles is not a Division 1 quarterback. I hope he enjoys his one season as a starter, he will not be starting anywhere next year, not here, that's for sure.
Defense, on the other hand, was not only tough but is full of freshman stars...our defense is going to be really, really good for the foreseeable future... I was happy to see that we cut down on the mental lapses in the secondary, though we still had more blown coverages than I'd like. Experience will help that.
Went a perfect 0-4 this weekend. UW was a loss, WSU pulled an upset, lost $ at Emerald Downs, and left money at the Emerald Queen Casino. The Seahawks are lucky they had a bye this week.
Out of consideration for Mariner playoff hopes, I'm not making a prediction on today's game.
No view on the Coogs win, as I slept right through it. It did find it a bit of of a surprise when I checked the score this morning. I guess somebody had to win. Unfortunately it was the Coogs.
Dawgs got problems on O. The girl that pitched in the little league World Series has a better arm the Miles. 178 total yards and 6 of 22 in 3rd and 4 th down efficiency ain't going to get it done. I thought the play calling was suspect at times as well. Winnable game and good effort by the D. I think the trees will absorb some more losses this year.
2. Cyler Miles is not a Division 1 quarterback. I hope he enjoys his one season as a starter, he will not be starting anywhere next year, not here, that's for sure.
And...here is why Cyler Miles will be riding the pine next year unless he somehow learns how to play QB in the next few weeks...can anyone say true freshman starter next year?
Browning: ‘If Every School In The World Offered Me, I Would Want To Go Here’
Release: 09/29/2014 Send Mail Print RSS
By Mason Kelley
GoHuskies.com
Jake Browning settled into a seat in Washington’s team meeting room across from the locker room in Husky Stadium. One of the nation’s top quarterback prospects, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior was in Seattle for his first game at his future home.
Wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt, Browning leaned forward in a black leather chair with “W” on the back and thought about why he recently chose to sign a financial aid agreement with the Huskies.
He talked about playing for Washington coach Chris Petersen. He talked about the academic opportunities the university provides. He talked about living in Seattle.
Browning had offers from high-profile programs across the country, but he chose the Huskies, because he believes it is the perfect place to continue his career.
“If every school in the world offered me,” Browning said, “I would want to go here.”
The son of former Oregon State quarterback Ed Browning, Jake gravitated toward the game at an early age. The Folsom (Calif.) High School standout was never pushed to play, but his father taught him fundamentals. He showed his son how to carry himself on the field.
“He helped me through, but let me make my own mistakes where I could learn from them,” Browning said.
He first signed up to play football when he was 8, and he has been rewriting the record books in California ever since he put on a Bulldogs uniform.
So far in 2014, he has completed 115 of 162 passes for 2,021 yards and 32 touchdowns. He averages more than 400 passing yards per game. He has only thrown one interception.
After Folsom’s first win of the year, he became California’s all-time leader in career passing yardage and, in his second win of the season, he became the state’s all-time leader in touchdown passes.
He has thrown for 13,006 yards and 170 touchdowns as a high school quarterback. He is only halfway through his senior season.
To put his numbers in perspective, the national high school records for career passing yardage (18,932) and touchdown passes (219) are held by Maty Mauck, who played for Kenton High School in Kenton, Ohio.
Browning isn’t all that impressed by the gaudy numbers.
“I still feel like I’m just trying to win the next game,” he said.
As humble as he is talented, he would rather talk about team goals than individual accomplishments.
“We’re doing pretty well as a total offense,” Browning said. “We’re able to run the ball. We have really good line play. I think the biggest thing this year is we’re getting the ball back quickly. We had 10 drives in one of our first halves and that’s just a credit to our defense getting us the ball.
“Once we get it rolling, we’re a tough team to stop with defense, special teams and offense.”
With the way the pocket passer talks about his teammates, he is the definition of what Petersen considers an “O.K.G.”
Browning said he is “naturally competitive.” Off the field, though, he said he’s just a normal high school senior. His special talents are reserved for the football field.
Petersen first watched Browning play during the third game of the quarterback’s sophomore season. It was a Wednesday. The Bulldogs were playing Deer Valley High School from Antioch, Calif. Petersen, then the coach at Boise State, wore a sweater vest.
The only thing Browning can’t quite remember is whether or not Petersen was the first college coach who showed up to watch him play. One thing is certain: Petersen is the one coach who stood out.
“It was cool, because I watched Kellen Moore when I was younger,” Browning said. “I watched the Oklahoma game. It was kind of surreal. He (coach Petersen) is from around the same area I’m from. He’s a completely normal guy.”
Now that Browning has signed his financial aid agreement, he will enroll early so he can participate in spring football with the Huskies. While he is glad he has wrapped up the recruiting process, he isn’t quite ready to look ahead to what’s next.
“Graduating early is in the back of my mind, because we’ve got a season to focus on,” he said. “We’ve got some goals I want to accomplish before I even think about coming up here.”
Everything Browning wants to accomplish revolves around his team. Right now, his goal is to have a good week of practice, so he can help the Bulldogs’ win their next game.
Once his high school season wraps up, he will turn his attention to Washington. He will trade Folsom’s royal blue and red for purple and gold. He will go from high school to the Pac-12. His goals, though, those will remain unchanged.
“I want to play the best teams,” he said, “and beat the best teams.”
I know right? After watching the Ducks "play" "football" tonight, I am wondering how my Spartans lost. This weekends the big one for me. My #1 Huskers and my #2 Spartans. Win-win, lose-lose every year - I just root for a great game (and always Nebraska). I think the Huskers got this one. GBR!
Fear Ameer for Heisman. He's got to be the #1 front runner after Marachi lost tonight. That would all change with an NU loss on Saturday. I hope not.

Oregon is down to their third string LT. Fugk maybe even the Huskies will beat them this year.
This week has really proven just what a bunch of bs the preseason polls are. Teams get ranked high before the season starts then turn out to be paper tigers.
Cal scored too soon and left too much time on the clock. The best they can hope for now is the Coogits scoring quick and leaving a minute left for the go-ahead score.
Our Cougs/Cal game was unwatchable due to completely disrupted Comcast audio/video feed. Were we the only household in the civilized world that couldn't watch this Cougar classic? The corner "scoreboard" was occasionally viewable, so with a couple minutes to go and WSU leading, I went to bed figuring I'd get the details of the Cougar victory in the morning. Surprise...surprise!
Tough loss, Cougs. Stanford is up next, and they will be looking to avenge their late game loss, too.
Cougars fans can stand proud knowing that Leach's teams are continuing to follow the long tradition of Cooging it. Excellent move by Moos last year extending Leach's contract out till 2018.
Hey look everyone, we lost but at least our QB got a NCAA record!
An insignificant fact: Houston's David Klinger whose single game record of 716 passing yards was broken by Halliday last night, won his record setting game.
Was tuned into gamecast last night and stayed up till 11:30 after everybody went to bed at the cabin. Looked like the Cougs had control of the game at the end. Good thing I didn't record the game. The air raid is a great offense but it seems like the air raid teams don't know how to play defense. Was hoping for a Coug win to top off a great day of crabbing and hanging out on the beach. I wasn't surprised to see Utah beat UCLA.
Hate to break it to you Tod but the Air Raid is just a modification of the spread offense that Dennis erickson, Mike price and a couple other guys pioneered. At least half the teams in the conference run it including Oregon. Oklahoma won a national title with it. It isn't the system, it's the players running the system.
So...which of the "players running the system" decided to kick a field goal with 19 seconds left and two downs to go when your QB had just passed for sixteen million yards and Cal's defense couldn't stop anyone or anything?
Air Fail.
The only "modification" that the Air Raid makes is that it takes any offensive system and completely removes the running game...which won't work against good teams in a power conference.
I believe Mike Leach has had one running back drafted in all his time as a head coach. The players aren't running the system.....or running the ball. Erickson, Kelly and Price all had decent running backs and running games.
I'm surprised Leach had one running back go to the NFL, stonefish. After all, he's been quoted as saying he likes to "use the pass to establish the pass."
As questionable (and out of character) as the field goal try was, it seems to me the Air Raid offense did about as much to help the team win as could ever be asked. I'd say the swiss cheese defense (not capitalized, because they haven't officially adopted the name yet) was much more to blame for that loss. I think Cal scored on it's last 7 possessions, and the only thing that stopped them on the 8th was the clock expiring. Cal's got a great offense, but even the second-worst defense in college football could have done enough to win that game for the Coogs.
On another note, the parity has always been what makes college football great. Amazingly, despite the forming of "super-conferences" and rules that favor perennial powerhouse programs, the parity is probably better than ever so far this year. It will be fun to see if a 3-loss team makes the championship playoff.
The "Air Raid" mostly worked on Saturday because Cal's defense is as bad as the Coogs' defense...and the reference to the stupid call to kick so early with so much time left was to further bolster my argument that Leach needs to go back to a shittty conference and coach football...that wasn't any "players" fault...that was a crappy coaching call.
So you have to be a D-1 coach to question the Pirate of the Palouse?
If that's the case then he'll be there forever and the Coogs will continue to suck...
Forever.
They will, however, continue to be a very exciting 2-9 team to watch lose every week...they do somehow manage to be more spectacular at losing every week, no boring losses. After years of doing it you'd think they'd eventually run out of ways to Coog it, yet here they are, week after week, coming up with new and exciting ways to lose spectacularly.
All the good spread offenses have a pretty good balance between pass and run. Not so with the Coogs. You'd think Leach was Norm Chow's long lost brother the way he manages the end of games.
1st and goal Cougar RB Wicks had the ball over the goal line but the fuggin Pac 12 refs didn't review it. Between bad officiating and bad special teams and defense the Cougs are screwed. Need to fire some Pac 12 refs.
Don't forget Mahle dropped a TD pass, I believe it was on that last drive too.
Plenty of blame to go around for all of this. Leach fired his friend quickly instead of keeping him around for another year, unlike Sark and Nick Holte.
Coog fans will be happy to learn that Halliday has moved up in the Heisman race (from 167th to 166th ) as actual Heisman hopeful Todd Gurley of UGA just got suspended indefinitely and is under investigation for violation of undisclosed NCAA rules violation.
Seriously...are there any stars in the SEC that don't break a rule or six every year?
Why do you think Mississippi State and Ole Miss are so good this year. The last few years at the high school invitational games, when the 5 stars all gather around with different hats laid out on the table, those 5 stars have been reaching past all the other hats to grab the Miss St and Ole Miss hats. And then walked past the party buses Bama, LSU, UGA and SC etc... had out front straight to the party penthouse rooms Ole Miss and Miss St had set up so they could get laid and find an envelope full of cash.
And the sad thing is this isn't even kept hidden. Like I said those schools where setting up right out front. The SEC is a total joke and everyone knows it including their sugerdaddy ESPN and the NCAA.
Funny how any infractions by USC or Wa (dare I add Penn St which wasn't even an infraction) get in so much trouble with the NCAA all the while Bristol is sending out the annual August memo that says the SEC is the best conference in the country.
When my brother was in SC he would send me all sorts of stories and anecdotes of what was really going on (he called Ole Miss and Miss St btw as he was following those infractions real time). He also attending about six or more High School games a year thru out the tri-state area and he would see NCAA violations right out in the open every time. They would line up to be next in line to see if they could out violate the previous violation. Just to have Ole Miss swoop in and seal the deal.
So now that some one tattled on the UGA kid expect a UGA booster to tattle on whomever they think tattled on them and then they will all sit down, pass around some envelops, and decide it's in all their best interests to stop tattling.
I mean there are pictures of that booster in Miami handing checks at center court an hour after getting recruits laid on his yacht. And yet USC and Pete Carrol are cheaters??? And what, Miami self sanctioned themselves one post season??
Watch or Tivo those High School invitationals as they are pretty funny. First watching some 5 star try and speak and explain why they picked Ole Miss over LSU, Ohio St and Alabama. And then it's also really funny watching those schools reaction when they thought that same recruit was "in the bag."
It sure is a good thing that smart kids make pretty good football players or the Pac 12 would never win an OOC game!
After reading the article it is even more of a joke than I imagined. My SEC rant still holds but.......
God forbid a kid makes money of his own "likeness." That is totally unacceptable when only the [Bleeeeep!] communist NCAA can make money off that kids "likeness." What a [Bleeeeep!] joke. Mao and Linen would be so proud of the NCAA. The NCAA needs to die and the sooner the better!!!
Well, I finally figured out why Leach is still the coach at WSU...he must be mobbed up
That's the best explanation I can think of for Stanford trying to run out the clock when they were up by 10 points, with a 16.5 point spread...and WSU kept calling timeouts until Stanford scored again, and went up by 17.
Stanford was trying to run out the clock, and would have just taken a knee, and went home with a ten point win...and instead got a 17 point win.
I suspect that calling timeouts at the end to let Stanford score again was another one of those "the system is great, the personnel just doesn't fit" things, eh?
What I can't believe is how crappy the defense is in the Pac 12, WTF is up with that? Scores this year look more like women's basketball, the team that plays the best D wins it all.
Man, what rock did WSU find Leach under? The Coogs have actually had some good, stand up coaches over the years, but Leach is so far beyond embarassing. Maybe they could get Mike Price back?
Only a couple hours away from watching two winning football programs, the UW and Cal, collide.
Hey kids, what's better... watching two "titans of the turf" do battle, where the outcome is unknown; or watching the Cougar football team unravel like a really bad backlash?
This afternoon, just like in last night's game, good defense will trump good offense, Pac-12 officiating will suck, and the winning team will have a short flight home.
Dawgs are eating Bears for lunch so far...28-0 at the half, and if it weren't for a couple of stupid penalties it could actually be worse.
UW's leading TD scorer, with four this year, is a defensive player, a freshman at that...think Shaq Thompson might play on Sundays some day? That 100 yard fumble return for a TD today was pretty...cool.
Did Perkins get thrown out of game for the block on the Ross inside slant?? I think the official call was "targeting?" The call was horrible, and the time in took to get the penalty sorted out was ridiculous. Typical pac 10/12 officiating...nothing new
The amount of penalties wasn't excessive, the inconsistency and play stoppage...
Gonna be a long weekend. There's a huge void where 90 pass attempts, 900 yards of offense, and a losing coach's press conference is supposed to be. I've grown accustomed to watching Cougar football, if for no other reason than to see if Connor Halliday's arm falls off, or freezes in mid passing motion. Or, I might see a Cougar receiver carted off the field because of severe osteo-arthritis of the knees and carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. Those repetitive motion injuries can wear a body out when you're running routes and trying to catch a pass on every play.
Could fill the void by taking Evo's IQ test. However, since I've already admitted to being entertained by Cougar football, that's probably not necessary.
Oregon is just a better team. There was talk of them going unbeaten before they sh!t their pants against SU. I thought UW would look a little better than they have, though.
Christ - are we ever going to beat the pondcrappers again?
Look at the retard Coogers predicting an AC win now.
Oregon is pretty good, you aren't.
Coogers are always talking sh!t about what they're going to do because they can't talk about what they've done - which is stink up the cellar of the Pac since before it was the Pac.
Living vicariously through the pondcrappers is pretty low-down - even low for a sodbuster.
They haven't had a coach there who isn't a total douchebag since Lou Holtz.
I was amazed to find that they could find a bigger douchebag than Charlie Weiss...but I think with Brian Kelly they may have actually done so.
After running an obvious offensive pass interference pick play a couple of times, the FSU coaching staff went to the refs and made a special emphasis of pointing it out.
That play at the end of the game when Notre Dame scored, but it was called back? Two WRs ran down field into the end zone and were blocking the defenders long before Golson threw the ball...which is 100% offensive PI. Not only that...it's exactly how they are coached to do it because refs suck at making that call.
Predictably...and awesomely, I might add...Notre Dame was called for PI, the play came back, and we all know how it ended up after that.
Brian Kelly whined after the game that it was a bad call and that Notre Dame doesn't "coach illegal plays"...then today whined again that FSU was "awarded for playing bad defense".
What a whiny douche. He gets to join Brian Shaw and NIck Saban on the "whinycunts" list.
I'm pretty sure that I read that WSU lost 17 - 0 in their bye this weekend, despite having over 750 yards in completed passes. So did they really lose due to "special teams?"
Yet you're mystified over the existence of beaver ponds.
Talk about dazed and confused...you're out there.
I'm confused, your saying our last game of the regular season is against the Pondcrappers, so from your delusional perspective it's the Pondcrappers vs the Pondcrappers. WTF Hankhook, your not making much sense, you can't have two teams with the same nick name. News flash, Pondcrappers is already taken.
I got nuthin'. I was saying it was a good scoring opportunity when our defense was on the field. Our offense is as bad as anything I've seen at Montlake.
I get the feeling that if the wind wasn't raging like it was, that beatdown would have been worse.
After watching the highlights from the SEC games, it looks like that conference plays football on a whole different level than the Pac 12. Other than UO, everyone else in the Pac looks pretty anemic to me.
It's no longer fun to rib my Huskies friends. Maybe when Coach Peterson gets his recruits in there things will change. Sark didn't leave much behind in regards to offense.

Fixed it for ya.
Huskies Defense Ranking is 68th overall Stanford 2nd Oregon St. 33rd Utah 55th Ducks Defense 106th
I assume you're all wound up about the Sparties...don't worry too hard, there's a lot of football left, and a few of those teams near the top have to play each other.
Win the Big 10 and good things will happen...and that applies to Nebraska and Ohio State, too, for that matter.
For the one loss teams they clearly looked more at who you have beaten instead of who you have lost to.
Oregon is way overrated, too...if they played any of the teams ahead of them, or around them in those rankings they may score some points, but the question would be whether or not they could score more than their opponents, and I think the obvious answer is "no"...their defense is weak, they would get walloped.
That being said...if Oregon wins on Saturday they will be in the top 4. I kinda hope Oregon wins out and makes the top 4 because it will be entertaining to watch them get demolished by whoever they play in their first playoff game.
Florida State's last two offensive plays were Jameis Winston interceptions...nice, especially because the Cardinals scored a touchdown in between them.
14-0 Louisville, with Louisville driving to score...a few minutes left in the first half...enjoying this.
Well, Louisville picked off Winston twice, and went up 21-0...and unfortunately on their first drive of the game got stopped on fourth down on the one foot line, or it could have easily been 28-0.
FSU drove right down and scored before the half and get the ball back in the second half...so this ass whoopin' could turn into a close game lickety split here.
The fact that Jameis Winston is really, really, really good does not in any way make me think he is any less of a douchebag...man, that kid is big, strong, and good.
Serious choke job by the Cardinals, they kept FSU in the game, and then FSU decided to start playing and blew right by them.
A dominant two TD win is a good game. If you picked Colorado then you definitely chose with your heart instead of your empty head...same as if you picked WSU.
Looks like Halliday's career just ended, that looks like a broken ankle or lower leg to me. USC was already way too much for WSU's defense, now WSU won't be able to score, either.
Well goddammit, they finally really finished one of these. Even the second unit stopped them on the one foot line. Not bad hanging that many points on the team ranked #1 in Total Defense.
Trees held 10 below their average.
Fuggin timberrrrr !!!!!!
Tremor hits Bay Area as Trees fall hard in Eugene.
maybe practice squad talent. For future reference see how quiet hammy will be in this thread after the Trees were exposed for what they are which is trash.
The Trees were ranked #1 in the nation in Total Defense. They had been in the upper 5 and had recently moved up to the #1 spot. Hogan was able to make pass after pass against that soft Oregon zone defense. Their TE was running wild. Hogan also made some good runs. The Ducks wanted it more and they have Mariota.
They will have a hard time finding a replacement. Hate to see him go to one of the NFL bottom feeders. Please God send Jameis to the Jets (imagine the entertainment value) and let us have Mariota for one more season !
Edit: Don Pellum, DC sucks. He's a homer and they will probably go a long way with him, though.
I tried yelling this at the TV....didn't work.
Anyone doing a tackle celebration gets to sit out one play...minimum. You get back in formation and act like you've done this before. I will tell you when you can celebrate.
If I see #89 running around uncovered one more time, next week will be hell for all of you.
As I said last week, Stanford is waaayyy overrated...surprised it was as close as it was.
The Ducks are the best the Pac 12 has to offer...but if they end up in the Top 4 come playoff time they, too, are going to be exposed as a team that's not nearly as good as they think they are...they will get waxed by the other top teams, they won't be able to stop them from scoring and the other top teams have fast enough defenders to not let the Ducks run away from them.
It would, however, be very Duck-like to shitthebed to a lesser team in the next few weeks and be well out of the playoff conversation at all come December.
Hey, nobody has congrats or sumpin' for the Wazzu win over the Beavs? With freshman QB no less. Whole lotta' passin' going on, like mebbe 'twern't many defenders on the field?
WRO Just curious, who would Beavo fans want as their next coach if Riley resigned or canned?
What needs to happen is we get a great coach, who know how to win, from a small Non FCS school. They know how to recruit to less attractive places (like corvallis) and to evaluate talent that is not ESPN 4 star ranked. There are a pile of great coaches that came out of no names, Chip Kelly and Urban Meyer to name a couple..
Just a couple canidates IMHO..
Beau Baldwin - EWU
Chris Kleiman- ND state
Ruffian Mcneil - ECU
Ed Odgeron, good recruiter, seems to be good with the players.
Thanks for the reply. I've always like Baldwin. He has been successful everywhere he has been. He knows the northwest and the high school coaches as well, which I think would be an advantage.

Ed Odgeron is a stud of a coach and anybody that gets him will be lucky.
We're stuck with Riley for so long they'll be installing wheelchair ramps into his office. 2021 at the earliest...add a year for each .500 season... fawk me. Maybe it is a good thing we suck nutz, and can just limp it through for 7 more years
I keep trying to like him, and every once in a while he does something really athletic and awesome...but the fact is, Cyler Miles does not possess the skill set to be a D1 QB.
He better enjoy the next few weeks, they are the end of his career unless there are injuries next year.
With four QB's already on the roster and another arriving this spring, I think at least two will be looking at other schools to increase their playing time. While Miles may be the best option right now, I don't see him being one of Peterson's OKG's for the long term.
Miles is particularly frustrating when in the stands. You watch a receiver come out of his break wide open with the ball still in the qb's hand. By the time the ball gets there, if ever, he's covered. I've never seen a QB with worse timing.
Thank god the Beav'w and Coog's are still on the schedule. If ever a team needed the extra practices of a bowl game it's this Husky team!
Well from one door mat to another, the Beavs have a chance against the Buttlickers. WTF we got running backs that can take it to the house? Now our WR's are deep threats? Where the fuk were those guys prior to this game?
34 degrees with the temp dropping to 25 by kickoff. A few flakes starting to come down now...not much expected in the way of snow for the game. A lot of delusional Coog fans hoping for snow tonight...
I love how Jimmis looks to the sideline as if to say "WTF ?" right after he throws an INT.
2x now.
Me, too...though considering how often they've started slow and won in spectacular comebacks the Gators better take advantage now and get way ahead...field goals after gift INTs will not cut it.
A co-worker and I bet on the Apple Cup. Loser has to buy and wear the opponent's ball cap at work all next week. Hoping for a UW win because I don't look good in crimson.
No firings needed at Wazzu. Leach is signed through 2018 thanks to an extension given by Moos. Can you Coog a contract? Dawg fans would like Leach to keep throwing it via the Air Fail offense, going for it on fourth down and taking points off the board till his contract expires.
The firings need to happen at the UW...our QB and offensive coordinator.
I enjoyed the fish almost as much as that demolition of the Coogers. Now I'm going to go make an omelette with some Cooger Gold cheese I have in the fridge.

When you are done you should roast up a bowl of Husky Purple Kush ;-)
Pelini is owed $7.65 million by Nebraska on his contract, extended after last season through February 2019. Nebraska's assistants are under contract through January 2016.
His record has been good, but that doesn't matter when you alienate your fan base.
We're 3-8, our coach is an offensive genius! Didn't you see all the passing records we set? Woot Woot!
Husky Football:
Right now we're 8-3, we better win our bowl game. Ten wins is our goal every year, but we'll give our coach a pass this year, since it's his first year...but there is a lot of room for improvement, and we better improve.
Just a matter of time before Hoke is gone from Michigan.
If TCU becomes the fourth team to make the play-offs, what do folks think of that? As much as I don't like Ohio State, if they win the Big 10 I'd find it hard to put TCU in there since they don't have to play a conference championship game.

Spot #4 is a tough one. It will be interesting to see what the committee decides.
No team appears to have the qualities that put it well above the rest. Maybe it's the electronic/communication age hitting college football. No longer do schools recruit from a 200 or 300 mile radius. The big schools recruit from everywhere as recruits see more options, fancy uniforms, pretty cheerleaders, etc. etc.
Spokesman review reports that defensive line coach Joe Salave'a has been given the title of assistant head coach. Hoping big Joe is being considered to take over as defensive coordinator. Got to keep the Polynesian pipeline going. I would expect Jeff Choate to be a candidate too. Auburn' defensive coordinator is also available.
First post since the Pelini firing and I'm VERY happy about it. I don't care if he won 9 games a year over the past 7 years - the guy was an abusive, control freak jerk that had no place at NU. AND he could never win the important games to boot. Buh-bye Bo - good riddance!
There's a hand full of head and assistant coaches that would make great replacements (Frost, Johnson, McElwain, Tressel et al). Frosty would make an interesting choice and he's always wanted to come back to Lincoln. The word in Lincoln is that the replacement has already been found - so who knows...
Anybody else notice with a minute on the clock FSU ran the ball twice and then punted. Funny how the coach isn't an idiot when the rb holds onto the ball .
I still think that the Oregon Ducks are a fraud...they have had some very close games with teams that are nowhere near good enough to do that to a "playoff" team.
The Ducks almost got saved by Alabama losing...if they had then the Ducs would get to be #1 and play the #4 team, and the #4 team is looking to be mildly fraudlent, as well.
The Ducks are well placed to get well abused in the playoffs...but probably not in the first game, as FSU is the same way, and that's probably who they will end up playing.
Alabama will roundly trounce whoever the #4 team ends up being, the Ducks and FSU will play a good game, but only because neither one of them really belongs there, and whoever wins between the Ducks and FSU will get absolutely creamed by Alabama...I think Saban is enough of a douchebag that I may even root for the Ducks to beat them, but they won't, not even close.

I'd be surprised to see the Ducks lose again this year.
Did you see Bama's defense? OU could put 60 up on them. Hell even Miles could have a career day against that secondary. They flat out suck! And I'm pretty sure a Kiffen offense is nothing to be afraid of.
Alabama, Oregon, TCU and FSU are now the top four. As much as I dislike FSU, there is no way TCU should jump ahead of them unless they lose the ACC conference Championship game. Especially since the Big 12 has no conference championship game.
I have a feeling this play-off format will be as fuk'd up as the BCS was. SF
FSU keeps winning, though they keep winning ugly, and don't play enough "good" teams...I think TCU should have been four and FSU should have stayed at three.
I also think things will get shaken up a bit this weekend
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it, though, if Missouri upset Alabama on Saturday and the SEC, who was falling over themselves to say that they could get all four playoff spots and that it would be ok if they did, end up with zero.
+ 1 on Missouri. I really like what Gary Pinkel has done with their program. Five ten win seasons in 14 years, two of which have taken place since their move to the big old tough SEC.
Wait until the Niners finish a distant third in the division, two games out of the last wildcard spot
All joking aside...Harbaugh can write his own ticket anywheres...the only thing that would happen to him if he were to leave Santa Clara, by choice or not, is that he would have a new job in about six minutes making more than he's getting paid now.
He's a clown and a douchebag, but he's also a very talented coach. Can't really dispute any of that.
talked [Bleeeeep!] about uw but stonefish is legit so it was all deleted.
go ducks
Fire away..... Nothing wrong with some [Bleeeeep!] talk. The Ducks have owned us for awhile. Just remember the good times because they don't last forever for any program. Dawg fans know that all to well. SF
Should be an interesting game with Ari and the quackers ... though I think Marcus wont be stoppable and they score 40.
If AZ can run the ball, Mariota might not get enough pigskin time to make a difference. The Ducks defense needs to do its job....especially at that goddam C gap.
I expect that both teams will leave it all on the field.....should be a great display of PAC 12 power.
Everyone will love Coach Riley, because he is a super cool dude.
He turned the Beavs from the laughingstock of the Pac 10/12 (Coogs were very willing to take that spot away from them, so that worked out well) into a pretty decent team...
They're not exactly "good" now, but they were fuckin terrible before Riley drug them up out of the gutter.
It will be very interesting to see what happens in Lincoln...and if it helps, Nick, Riley has been offered some far better jobs than coaching Nebraska and turned them down, most notably USC, a couple of times.
Not sure how much of it is Pellini's fault or not, but you may have noticed that Nebraska isn't all that great of a team these days, it's not like they could just get whoever they wanted...it takes someone who thinks living in a podunk town like Lincoln is not a bad thing.
It takes someone who thinks the same thing about Corvallis
He is a hell of a nice, down to earth kinda guy. Run into him at Trader Joes in Corvi and he acts like you are his best friend. Rides his bike to work. Waves at you when you pass. Just doesn't have the fire or tenacity to keep up with the evolution of modern college foosball. Personally, I'd rather see him replace our donkus A.D. His, "gee willakers, kids will be kids, they're having fun, maybe we'll get'em next time" attitude won't be missed.
Riley was a solid coach for the Beav's. I don't know much about OSU football but I don't believe the program was in shambles before Riley. Didn't Dennis Erickson coach the Beavs and have a 10 win season once or twice??? Don't think Riley had a 10 win season.
He will be a good fit in Lincoln. They need someone to steer the program ahead and keep things in-line with fans and recruits. Bo was too up and down. I would not want to play ball for Bo, Riley yes...
Thanks guys - I'm back off the ledge. It was more of an instant shock WTF moment this am, especially after I kinda had my hopes up for the Sweater vest. I've spent all day familiarizing myself with everything Riley. Color me very, very impressed. I'm 1000% on board with this cat (hated Bo). With NU's immense resources which he never had at OSU, this guy is gonna turn some heads. Now go get Frosty from down the road, dust off Orgeron and let's do this thing! GBR!
Hey nick, rumor has it Orgeron is coming along with Mike. I have no doubt he will be more successful at Nebraska than he ever was or will be at OSU.
Bent - OSU had 28 consecutive losing seasons, the last couple under Riley, before he left to coach in the NFL. Erickson came in and went to a bowl game his first year, then followed that up with the 11-1 (only loss coming on a wide right fg to UW) run that ended up with a clownstomping on Notre Lame (41-9) A win which gave OSU the first BCS bowl win of any school in Oregon Erickson left, Riley came back and managed a 9 win season sandwiched between seasons of mediocrity and outright shitshows.
Oregon has all their horses and motivation. UA is gonna get run. And UA is the only team out there that I see that has a chance to beat them. With that Bama D I saw last weekend I'd say Oregon will put 50 up on them.
The Pac-12 Championship should be at the stadium of the higher ranked team...if they'd like to actually get people to go, at least.
Take Oregon fans, for instance...why would any of them travel to Santa Clara for a Friday night game when they have at least one, if not two more games to go after this, games that will matter a helluva lot more?
Play it in Eugene and the stadium would be packed.
Playing it in a neutral stadium is bad enough...playing it in a town that doesn't even have a Pac-12 team is straight up stupid.
They'll have 35K fans in there tonight, I bet...which is what? Half the capacity?
I hope Arizona beats Oregon, I hope Wisconsin beats Ohio State, I hope Alabama loses to Missouri.
I hope TCU and Baylor both win.
I hope FSU finally isn't allowed to get their schit together and pull it out in the end.
I hope there are no SEC teams in the playoff...or, more to the point, I hope none deserve to be there...the committee will put on in there no matter what, no matter how they have to justify it.
I hope they have to ignore the TCU/Baylor head to head game, and then justify that.
No Big 10 teams, no SEC teams...and a Pac 12 team with two losses in the final four (Arizona).
Fish on...
Todd
P.S. I do not think that UO will run over UA tonight...I think they should win, but they should have won the last two times they played them, too.
If the Wildcats can run the ball it will be a decent game. If not, all bets are off in my opinion. Beating the Ducks three times in a row will be a difficult task.
Scobby Wright from UA is quite the player. Hard to believe he wasn't one of the finalists for the Butkus award finalists.
35K, 40K on the outside...but even if it was 50k, that's lame.
They need to play the game on an actual campus of the higher ranked team that's in the actual game...why would people in Santa Clara give twofucks about Arizona vs. Oregon?
Agreed. The SEC game works in Atlanta because all of their campuses are in small towns and within driving distance of Atlanta. Doesn't work on the West coast.
If it's so important for them to play this game in an NFL stadium it should rotate between Seattle, Santa Clara, Phoenix and Denver.
But alas the PAC 12 network is in SF so the game is in SC.
Talk on the radio by the game announcers on the drive home was the 49ers not allowing the teams to use their lockerroom for this game. They mentioned Larry Scott isn't to happy. Class move by the 49ers.
No offense and they shouldn't have suited up the cheerleaders for defense.
No, they have an offense. The Oregon defense came to play tonight and they know how to cover an up-tempo, spread offense. They kept the sputtering Oregon offense in it during the 1st half.
So, it's collect some hardware and on to the Top Four.

Proud of Oregon for playing like that on a national stage. So happy that Mariota will likely be picked very high in the draft. With all that said, he misses a lot of open receivers. He's gotta fix that to be successful in the NFL.
Not seeing anything incredible about TCU as they beat up on a weaker Iowa State. Coach Patterson has a well cultivated pot belly tho. Sure sign of weakness right there.
Georgia Tech is looking good. Their under-center, read option attack is most interesting. Also more fun to watch than the lumbering Ohio State v. Wisconsin game.

Re: College Football 2014 - 12/06/1409:38 PM
Anyone catch Oklahoma - Oklahoma state upset? When you've punted and pinned them on the 15, with two minutes left and a 7 point lead, don't accept the running into the kicker and re-kick so they can run it back for a td and a tie so that you can loose in ot... unless youre the cougs...
I think TCU, since they were #3, and won big, even if it was just Iowa State...but Baylor beat TCU and they each have one loss, and Ohio State is on their third QB this year and are demolishing Wisconsin.
As much as I don't like Ohio St, I think they played their way in today. Alabama, Oregon, FSU and Ohio St would be my final four. TCU didn't win their conference championship and Baylor played a soft non- conference schedule. Neither had to play a conference championship game and also got multiple byes because of that. The other teams don't have those advantages. SF
I think since TCU was already ranked at #3, and won going away, that they should stay in.
I think that kinda fukks Baylor since Baylor beat them.
Ohio State had some good wins, notably Michigan State and Wisconsin tonight, which also happened to be a conference championship game...and they straight up destroyed a good team.
They also lost to Virginia Tech, who is not all that good...though it was the first game with a backup QB...who later turned out to be a Heisman candidate.
What I think the committee will do, however, is avoid having to choose between Baylor and TCU by putting OSU in at #4.
Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, Ohio State, Baylor...and finally TCU, who drops from #3 to #6 while crushing their opponent in their final game. The lost to Baylor finally counts against them, but it matters little since OSU jumps in at #4 and they are both out .
Jake Browning in last nights Cal State Championship game threw 6 TDs and 453 yards. 91 TD passes on the year. 229 TD passes in three years is a national prep record.
An article in yesterday's SacBee is titled "Jake Browning known more for his character than on field achievements."
He's graduated with a 3.58 GPA. When asked about starting collage next week he simply said, "I'm ready."
As I noted on this thread a month ago...both the Mississippi teams are waaaayyyy overrated just because they are in the SEC, and TCU is getting screwed by the selection committee because they are TCU and not in the SEC.
28-0 at halftime for TCU over Ole Missing, in spite of turning the ball over three times.
Art Briles made an a$$ of himself after Baylor got snubbed; Gary Patterson proved his point by quietly kicking the crap out of a vastly overmatched opponent. I'd be fine with watching Baylor lose, but I doubt we'll see it. Briles is an a$$, but that team's pretty good.
TCU definitely (but predictably, to Todd's point) got jobbed.
Ticking the tocks until the choke on a chickenbone bowl.
Should be a good game, I'm taking the savages... 38-24.
I 'spect they're putting on extra staff at the suicide hotline in U-gene.
FSU +9 is very tempting....
Local pundit... "With Smart's defense and Kiffen's offense, Alabama is now a fully functional Death Star." I think he's right....the Bammers should steamroll the Buckwheat.
Funny thing is that Mariota was discovered at a high school in Hawaii and became a 3 star recruit. They didn't go buy a coach, Helfrich came up through the system. Sometimes luck and star alignment has a lot to do with it.
UCLA looking good against K-State, Dawgs about to put a whoopin' on OK-State...Pac-12 looking good...if UCLA can hold on...KS has mounted a pretty good comeback.
And Coogers and Barkrats aren't allowed to comment on football matters because you ballsuckers both got beat by this team that's getting buttfucked by Okie State - an OSU that doesn't suck balls like the ones from Corvallis.

Lol, at least we got rid of our biggest problem, look out next year buttlicker, no more Opie Taylor.

Lol, at least we got rid of our biggest problem, look out next year buttlicker, no more Opie Taylor.
lol
Your biggest problem is your suck-ass school in cowpoke Corvallis, dumbass.
You donkeys should hire another Dennis Erickson, get some mercenary JUCO players again, and enjoy another 3 year run of success in a century of failure.
I'm looking forward to this championship game. The Ducks and Buckeyes both played hella games to get in, and whichever of them wins it, they earned it.
I don't know what to think about who wins this game. The UO offense is hard to stop for 4 quarters - lots of teams hung with them until the half, and then got plungered in the second half. The tOSU defense looks pretty tough, though, and the whole Pac12 lacks a defense on par with them. So it's hard o predict how successful UO will be moving the ball. I think Mariota will the be the factor that decides the game - if he plays well, UO wins.
The Ducks completely dismantled FSU, and tOSU beat the team everyone outside of Eugene thought would win it all.
As long as Oregon takes points win they can and they don't turn the ball over they should be in good shape. Proud and happy for Mariota, he'll look good in Tampa.
I think Ohio State's QB played a tremendous game. It should be a barn burner down in Dallas. I think Oregon may have faced a tougher test against Alabama but who is to say.
I don't like Helfrich's gambling on 4th down...take the fuggin 3. And the 2 point conversions for the hell of it ? It is a nice punch in the mouth when it works, I 'spose.

Tampa's a wasteland with sh!tty ownership. It's like you want your son to marry a good woman...not sure which bottom feeder team that would be.

glad the SEC sh!t the bed during these playoffs.
The SEC has been thumping their chests for a long time. Now, pregnant women are turning over cars and burning down their trailer parks.
Ohio State looks strong and Urban knows how to win these games. If Oregon can control their run game....oh, and let's put some heat on their QB this time.
Cool that it's the PAC 12 against the Big Ten. A Rose Bowl thing. Wonder if any SEC honks noticed that ? (prolly not, too busy poisoning trees and starting fires)
At this point, I don't give a qwak. The recruits think it's cool, I guess. As long as they're not pink and black....NEVER pink and black again. I'm talkin' to ya Phil.....if they don't win...it's on you, pal.
Lindquist needs to report for fall ball at 300+ pounds. Lift weights all winter and specialize in fourth and one situations, one yard goal line plunges, or one yard Hail Mary pass plays. He could become legendary as Refrigerator Lindquist.
I don't remember his name off the top of my head but there's a kid that followed Coach Pete who redshirtted this year that they are pretty high on. So there will be competition. Anything would be an improvement.
My point exactly. Beavs started that season 7-1, but everyone (especially Ducks)kept saying, "yeah, but you lost to a D2 QB and team of guys not even good enough for D1 schools"
Now the 'most elite' program in D1 is going, " YES! We landed a D2 QB!"
That would be like Dawg fans clicking their heels at the chance to get Leach to change schools.
Eastern is 1-AA, not 2. In basketball they would called mid-major. Didn't he lead the Eagles to 50 something against UW. That would be about as much as Orygun
Agreed. I think you can pretty much pencil in Jake Browning as the starter against BSU. SF
Husky fans already talking about Jesus Jake Browning like he's the Jesus Jake Locker. The dude hasn't even taken a snap. Settle down.
The Dawgs are going to be [Bleeeeep!] next year, I say give the young guy a lot of PT. Aren't you the one that declared Mike Leach the second coming of Christ before he coached his first game? How's that working out for you....
