You have to be kidding me.

Who the fvck thought leaving cyanide sitting around sounded like good idea, and why did nobody knock the crap out of them for having such a harebrained idea?

Now there's a federal agency that more than likely has outlived its usefulness. Past time to de-fund.

Didn't even realize the USF&W was still using cyanide bombs...thought
they stopped that stuff back in the 80's.

The cyanide kills all predators, meaning Eagles, badgers, fox, etc. get just as dead
as the target critter. Cyanide is a non-specific killer. Not to mention that anyone who
sets a lethal device like that anywhere near a home is a complete f'n idiot.

Any honorable trapper knows you never, EVER set a lethal trap anywhere
near housing. This includes conibears and snares, as well.

How do you responsibly catch that residential running coyote? Set a foothold trap at
a proper set, and then check it twice a day. An offset jaw foothold (#1-1/2 or a #2)
properly set using swivels will not break a dogs foot, but it will hold the critter til you
can release it, or terminate the offending coyote when caught.

I had a similar WTF experience lately that backs this up. I fish in BC this time of year on a weekly basis. I pay big money for this as well as enhanced ID to cross the border quicker. This year the US in all its wisdom decided to change the Nexus lane name. Never mind that all the signage approaching the lane says Nexus, they change the name on the big LCD screen directly above the lane at the border to say "Ready Lane".

So I get to the border and wait about an hour including Nexus lane and I'm thinking, this is crazy, I've never seen it this busy and than I see people cutting over from the regular lane to the "Ready Lane" because they think they can get through it because it says "ready". There is no signage or paperwork to detail what this ready lane is. Just a long line of people getting Nexus violations or being scolded holding up the line for a long time.

Whoever decided to rename a long standing Nexus Lane to Ready Lane is truly a person who just has very little real world experience. I cannot explain this any other way. It is flabbergasting.

The last time I crossed the border, the lane said "Ready Lane" but had a little line below it saying "Enhanced ID Required" so it was better. Still a terrible decision by somebody out there.
