What's your favorite cat load - 04/08/17 11:37 PM

I'm sick of all these Seattle sh!theads dumping there unwanted pets at my place. They think "oh ... what a nice place to live...out in the country..." Anyway, what's your favorite cat load. I like the AR with Hornaday V-MAX 40 gr or the 12 ga with # 4 buck.

Why would you wipe your load on a cat? Can't you find an old sock or something else to use as a cum rag?

Hunting buddy saw one feral cat in the Sierra Mother Lode while chasing deer. Used his .250-3000. Says the slug was still doing 3000fps when it hit; som quail saved.

Discharging firearms is prohibited in my neighborhood. I wouldnt shoot a dog or cat anyways but if i did I would imagine 22lr for cats or 100 gr .243 for dogs would do the job. If I could keep the neighbors dogs from shi**ing in my yard and tearing things up. Don't see as big of problems with cats, they keep the mice down and blurry their sh** and seem to be overall less destructive.

I hear Frank is the cat whisperer, after a couple days they will be eating crab out of his hands.

Had a prof whose neighborhood dog would mark his garbage can. He hooked the can to an electric fence. Dog marked it one more time.

Re: What's your favorite cat load - 04/09/17 12:47 PM

Dogs don't get dumped near as much as cats do around here and they usually get taken in and found homes. Cats just seem to revert to being wild and breed like crazy. The coyotes and eagle pick off some of them but at times there are cat population explosions that need thinning down. From what I see cats don't do much in the way of keeping rodent populations down but the kill a hell of a lot of birds.

They are hellaciously damaging of nesting seabirds in Hawaii. Seen video of cats waiting at burrow mouths, above timberline, to grab the adults as they enter the burrow.

Re: What's your favorite cat load - 04/10/17 12:06 PM

Just remember kiddos - spay and neuter your pets!

As an owner of a pair of Maine Coon cats, can't say that I would go out and shoot random stray cats, seeing how I also live C-attle. But if I did or could, I'd just pop them with a suppressed .22. Anything more than that and your over compensating for something.

I am guilty of having outdoor cats that unfortunately will get a bird or two along with all the rodents they love to bring in the house. My cats love to meander in the neighborhood, visit with the neighbors, flop down in front of you for a belly rub if you walked by and in general, always seem to use the soft dirt under my shed house for their toilet.

I'm more likely to assassinate a dog who takes a dump in my yard than a stray cat. Again, a suppressed 22 would do the trick very nicely. Unfortunately, that's really on the dog owners than the dog. I'm the kinda guy that if I catch you walking your dog and it craps on my yard and you don't scoop the poop, I'll discretely follow you home. Once I know where you live, you'll get a nice little present or two at some point in the future.

Paker is a creepy cat lady.

Sub-sonic .22lr is pretty damn quiet. I have yet to have a neighbor complain about my squirrel irradication efforts using them. Then again, I live in Alaska and my neighbors aren't apt to complain if I shoot a howitzer in the back yard from time to time. .22lr will kill anything that lives and breathes, it's just a matter of how long it will take.

Re: What's your favorite cat load - 04/10/17 08:23 PM

Can't imagine why anyone would need to be shooting a cat unless it is fighting and harming your own cat. Other than that, how the hell is a little cat going to cause you harm?

You presume it to be feral, but it could just as well be some little girls kitty that wandered over.

If for some reason you are forced to shoot a cat (or any domestic critter), make damn sure it's a clean head shot. No reason for that animal to suffer because you're too stupid to know how to properly aim your weapon.

If you feel that just because you have a rifle in your hands that you need (or have a right to) to take some critters life, then it's probably not a good idea for you to have that weapon.

I shot a problem cat with these once.
Non-lethal.....he went straight up about 3-4 feet and hit the ground running. Quite a sight.
Never came back.

Re: What's your favorite cat load - 04/12/17 12:21 PM

For what it is worth, I do loathe a 206'er dog owner.....

Some comparisons between a Westside and Eastside dog.

206'er dog person:

-Has 14 different styles of leashes for their dog.
-Has at least one collar that cost over $50. Because it looks cool and made by REI.
-Has at least 3 plush beds per dog.
-Believes they have the absolute right to bring their dog EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE.
-Will drive across Seattle to take their dog to a dog park.
-Once done with the dog park, will allow their dog to be off leash outside the park, because their dog HAS RIGHTS, God damn it!
-A dog that will fetch a tossed tennis ball in Lake Washington is considered a "hunting" dog.
-Only a psychopathic dog owner, or homeless person with a dog doesn't scoop the dog poop.
-Isn't my rescue (insert [Bleeeeep!] ass breed of fracked up dog here) awesome?
-Dog's don't work. People do.
-Home with cats and dogs living together - cat rules the house. Dog doesn't care and is just happy to lick the cat in the face once in a while. Pisses the hell out of the cat. Dog laughs.

509'er dog person...and perhaps a 360'er as well: (Bob and Stam's dogs are cool and kick ass).

-Has 1 leash. It's called a chain or rope.
-Has a $50 dog collar, because it's either a shock collar or high end leather working collar.
-The dog can sleep on the floor.
-The dog can stay home. Or in the back of the truck.
-Will drive with a dog in the back of a truck everywhere, but that doesn't mean the trip was FOR the dog. Dog park? What's that?
-Leash law? What's that?
-A 509 hunting dog gives their master "that look of disappointment" when they miss the bird, shakes it off, and is back at flushing, pointing, and retrieving anything that flies or dies.
-Scoop what? The dog poops in the pasture.
-Isn't my lab/retriever awesome?
-People work and so does my dog.
-Home with cats and dogs living together - cat rules the house. Dog doesn't care and is just happy to lick the cat in the face once in a while. Pisses the hell out of the cat. Dog laughs.

I am both a dog and cat person. I just REFUSE to own and keep a lab in 206-ville. That's just cruel. Dogs need land to run and be free. They don't need to be stuck in a kennel all day when I work only to be "walked" late in the day as a form of reward.

Someday, when I leave this hellhole called Seattle and get some land, I'll have a golden lab.

Those that have met him know Jasper (the COCKer) is the Bees Knees.

Finnegan (the black lab pup) needs some work, but he's starting to come around for a two year old meathead.

425 dogs. Part city. Part country. One leash. Zero cat.

Toff has a pretty cool cat with maybe the best name ever. She weighs like 2 pounds but would probably kill us all if she had the chance.

Cats are always plotting and scheming. If it weren't for giving them food, they would straight up murder the human race.

rofl rofl rofl rofl

Got 3 cats...all came from the wild. Dominant dude takes no crap from 'coons or any critter near his size. He's 21 lbs, and not fat. Seen him jump right in the middle of 5 'coons, and he ran every one of 'em off the porch.

I try to tell people.."He's my cat, not yours..watch yourself", but idiots pick him up anyway and he bleeds 'em every time. rolleyes

He lets me know when somethings not right outside, and he doesn't make a bunch of racket barking like a dog.

Another one is a Class A mouse/rat/gopher/mole killer. She's all of 7 lbs., but rodents fear her name.

They don't have to be taken for walks, and I don't pickup their turds.....they bury 'em like smart animals

Dogs don't come on my property.

I talk tough but I too, could never shoot a pet....unless it really had it coming (like a pitbull on a kid). The neighbors cat craps under my shop and their dog in my yard. Everyday. But the dog is a cute old yellow lab that is totally adorable and a gigantic goof ball and the cat catches mice and moles. I don't like that they poop in my domain, but my like for them is greater than my dislike of yard poop.

Was minding my own business t'other day when all of a sudden the love of my life went bat $hit crazy in the dining room. There was yelling as she clattered her way out the French doors with the volume increasing over the duration. All kinds of foul language fading into the distance. Quick like, I run to her aid. Low and behold, she's chasing a couple 'yotes loping just ahead of her with the chickens spilling off the porch, cheering her onward. Upon her breathless return and the offending song dog's departure over the western horizon, seems that the two marauders we a mere 6-7 paces off the porch when she spotted 'em with missile lock on her girls. The alpha female must have a litter of pups hereabouts as the pack has been happily munching the resident rodents under her guidance. May have to go have a talk with 'em to keep the peace with her counterpart....

I live in the country.
Unfortunately there is a new housing development near bye.
Them lot dwelling 206ers think they're walking through the wild when they take their multiple dogs for a walk on an asphalt loop that passes by my driveway.
Of course if their dogs shhit along the county road then they score it a win.
My mail box is the only one on their route and the dogs like to stop in close proximity to shhhit.
I've watched the city folk stand there, staring at our mules, dog on leash, shhhitting, only to walk off.
I thought about putting a sign up but found throwing the dog shhhiit out on the asphalt road where they walk works wonders.
Seems odd but they don't like walking in their dogs shhhiiitt.
