I'd like to shake it up this year if possible. Maybe go to 5 games a week or a special weekly bonus game for more points? Maybe we can increase our overall donation to Childrens as well?

Whatever works, but let's do this. As a fair warning, I'm going to kick all yer' arses again this year so no complaints when I hand out the beat downs.

I vote for (5) pwr five games per week + one wild card kicker game for a total of 6 games. $25 buy-in. I'd go as high as $40 - $50 if everyone else is willing (but that might be stretching it). Other than the above, same basic rules as last year. Deal or other ideas?

Is it time to start the talk yet?

I am rooting for a 11-1 WSU team (Ranked 18 with their one loss to USC) to meet a 12-0 UW team for the Apple Cup, and the Huskies wo win convincingly, and face the 12-0 USC Trojans the next week in the Pac-12 Championship.

The Huskies and Trojans will be ranked 3 and 4, or 4 and 5, and the winner of that game goes to the playoffs, probably along with Alabama, Clemson, and either Penn State or Oklahoma, if either of them manages to finish undefeated (probably Oklahoma, they have the easier schedule, PSU still has Michigan and OSU on their schedule).

The only really tough game the Huskies have to hit 12-0 will be the Cougars, and if they are 11-1 and playing for the Pac12 Championship berth it will be one helluva game! Trojans should roll thru the south...but this is the Pac12, and there are plenty of upsets still to go this season in both the Pac12 and the Big10. I think the ACC and SEC are already wrapped up, and Oklahoma has best shot at the Big12.

Things tightened up a bit this week after WSU shitthebed.

I picked Ohio State and they delivered, and that makes me happy.

TCU layed an egg, and even though I picked them to win in this contest, I am very thankful for their lame game.

That WSU game was brutal. Between them and Stanford they are by far the most grossly overrated teams in the Pac12. I will go on the record now and say that not only will the Apple Cup win streak continue for UW, but that UW will hang at least 45 points on those clowns and win by three TDs, at least.

Starting to look pretty tough for any Pac12 team to make the playoffs. Going to need a few more big losses in the top 10.

Quick thought and proposal for next season....

I started this thing 3 years ago and managed the first season. Dwat has managed that last two. Both of us have paid out of pocket to the winner (no big deal). I'd like to propose that the winner from the previous season is to manage the following season. If the winner doesn't want to play the next year, then everyone who does want to play goes into a hat and a new season manager is drawn (as well as a backup should the manager not be able to manage on any given week). Is that fair? Any other proposals or thoughts on season management or ways to make this little game better?

Let's keep this thing going. It's fun and for a great cause.
