Fuk ya! Favorite part is when the assailant finally succumbs and drops all his stuff, realizing his bitch ass is going behind bars.

This is sad and not funny! THIS IS NOT OK!!! This man is a VICTIM of oppressive white supremist gun violence! We all should be helping this poor man victim with more and better and more. We should be more inviting & uplifting to his hurt spirit and understand that we are the privileged here and that he is merely a victim our negative, imperialistic social constructs and whiteness. We MUST repent by raising him and his needs above our own. We can achieve this through more welfare; additional loosened laws, better affirmative action and by the total and complete elimination of our racial, cultural, social & economic bias & privilege. Then he would be a great citizen and then he would love us and the children would be safe!

Or we could just shoot the P.O.S.

Whatever works....

Here's the problem guys - the last 3 mass shooters (and many more prior) were "law abiding gun owners" before they went off the rails and killed a bunch of people. How do we solve that issue? Is it just the cost of doing business? If you can show me how to recognize a "good guy with a gun" then I will be satisfied. Until then, every gun owner, especially those practicing open carry are suspect.

Watch the video again, then again....once you see "it" it's very easy to recognize the good guy with the gun.

wink
It's very easy to recognize the good guy with a gun once he starts using it, I would agree, however, that's not the question. How do you recognize that guy before the shooting starts?

How do you categorize the shooters in the Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton murders? I know they were law abiding gun owners with legally purchased guns prior to going on their shooting sprees.

Eddie, those shooters weren't "law abiding citizens", they were posting manifestos of violence and death. Their right to have guns should have been revoked and anyone supplying them guns should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. And there is a difference between a handgun and the automatic rifles they were using.

Just having the handgun stopped the situation in the video. If you watch the video, the good guy stopped the situation without shooting the gun, the knee was a reminder to the bad guy to pay attention.

Snake, who gets to make that decision to strip someone of their 2nd Amendment rights? How do they do so? Could this body decide that anyone who is Anti-Trump or ANTIFA, or a Democratic Socialist lose their rights? It's a complicated solution and in the case of the El Paso shooter, he posted his manifesto about 90 minutes before the first shot.

Re: Good example of why good guys need to have guns - 08/14/19 06:39 PM

now you care about gun rights?

you just said anyone that open carries is a suspected mass shooter....

Snake, none of the 3 were automatic rifles, and you clearly know that...

2 were WASR-10s, which are probably bullsh!t Century Arms rifles, and 1 was an AR pistol...

none of which were automatic rifles, or pistols....

I drive by this busy intersection quite often. The perp was going to stroll down to "bum park #1" and continue his useless existence as a drunken fuktard (total speculation). Anyone familiar with Wenatchee will recall "Locomotive Park" near the downtown bridge over the Columbia, where an antique RR Engine is a feature in the Park. The last 10 years the park is filled with 10-20 of the POS's that hang out and get wasted/high and wander back up the 200 yards to the stop-n-go's for more booze...you guys know the routine.

Great job Mr. Altizer, he won't be paying his tab around town for awhile!!

Last time we had something like this go down in town was about a year and half ago, and it was a drunk/high dude in Albertsons. Cops responded and by then the guy was in the parking lot with a box knife waving it around (nobody being threatened). 1st cop on the scene just opened his cruiser door, stepped out and drew his pistol (supposedly said to drop weapon), and BAM drilled him from 15' away! Then he walked over and cuffed him! Dude died right there, sad deal. It was ruled a justified shooting as the perp didn't follow directions...(I can't remember specifics, prob said drop knife or I kill you?)

That dude put his whole body into that knee; bad guy drops like a sack of rocks and goes to sleep.. You can't buy a better ending.

Agree with you on the training, but unless he was fighting by the old Pride rules (meaning there's basically no rules), that was an illegal knee to a downed opponent. Even Mario Yamasaki would have taken a point. rofl

In this case, however, it was definitely the best weapon for the job. beer

Edwardo,
Enforce the laws on the books.
Problem solved.

Re: Good example of why good guys need to have guns - 08/15/19 04:30 PM

Which laws on the books would have prevented Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton?

Re: Good example of why good guys need to have guns - 08/15/19 06:16 PM

I don't understand what you are looking for Eddie? What kind of answer do you want?

Laws don't prevent anything. Murder still happens. Laws and their associated punishments are repercussions for breaking said laws (detriment to society). Most people don't break major laws because A) most people are good in nature and B) most people don't want to face major repercussions (Don't want to due time? Don't do the crime!). It's a social contract - break it and pay the piper.

That still doesn't stop someone who is hell bent on breaking a law anyway. Murder is against the law, yet these shooters still shot because they don't care about breaking their contract with society. There is no such thing as "pre-crime" which preemptively prevents crime from happening to begin with. There is no "I pulled you over because I knew you would speed in the later future". Same thing applies to these shooter punks. Due process is a thing.

None of them.

These people had already made a decision to commit MASS MURDER;
at that point laws became completely irrelevant.

Oh Yeah...forgot to mention that they're fookin' nuts!
