Any reports from area 9 today?

I saw 2 Pinks landed this morning in the 5 pound range off the west side of Whidbey Island.

Any others? Let the games begin! laugh

I saw two more singles this morning before work (Pinks - 5 lbs) and I had a couple shakers, including a little coho about 2 lbs. that I quickly released.

Lots of bait out there though

Question? Where are you guy fishing? We're headed out on Sunday (boat) and wanted to get an idea of where to start looking. I haven't fished area 9 this early in the season before.

Little Fish,

The areas described above were at Bush Point, Lagoon Point and near the Keystone Ferry in Admiralty Bay.

Closer to Edmonds would be Possession Point, or Point No Point. I have not heard reports form Possession, but I would expect it to be similar. Maybe someone on the board can tell you where exactly Humpy Hallow is, I think it is South of Shipwreck and in area 9.

Little Fish, Its anybodys bet this time of year, the good thing about humpys is they well jump and then adjust from there. ebey beach, the long beach near the ferry, bush point, are all local favorites but do a little time watch the current's and you well easley figure it out. I like the long beach south of the ferry because the huge and I mean HUGE kings that well run down that beach at the tide change, You cant keep them but boy can they tug your line. ...DJ

I did a quick, early scout yesterday. Saw one fish on the beach at Lagoon, lots of smolt jumping, lost a spoon to a doggie, and that was it. Fished down to PNP and then quickly back up to Keystone on the outgoing tide. We focused on those areas that were productive two years ago. Should have stayed at the Keystone area I guess and just fished.

Little fish, once the pinks move up towards kayak point that is probably the best place to go, there is also quit a bit of silvers and some chums.
