kicker motor bracket - 10/06/03 03:36 PM

I'm looking at buying either a 1997 26' Bayliner Ciera or a 1994 25 ' Crownline. Both of these boats have an integrated swim step. The transom is not flat like my 1973 Bayliner Skagit. How would one mount a kicker to these newer style boats? Any pictures or ideas would be appreciated. I have a 7.5 Honda short shaft. Will I need a long shaft? Will I need a more powerful kicker?

It took me quite a bit of looking to find the motor bracket that would work with my Bayliner. I found it at Auburn Sports and it's called a Bear Paw by Seaburst Marine (I think). I looked for a long time before finally finding one that would work with my swim platform. $200+ but I would recommend it over the dozen or so others I looked at.
