Pretty much a commercial fishing show, inside and outside the bar. A few people fish off the docks at Westport and get an occasional keeper but very few. I've stuck pots around various places at various times when fishing rockfish off the jetty or herring off the docks and pretty much got nothing. Not worth it in my opinion, I pretty much get all the crab I want to deal with in Hood Canal when it's open.

I honestly don't know the first thing about that one other than a friend gets some there ... but since it's a similar bay / harbor, I thought I might mention it.
Growing up and crabbing Tillamook Bay all the time ... one thing we saw with higher freshwater input after big runoff was the crabs seemed to move out of the bay on us.
Might be the same, might not, but given the big flows we've seen lately, that might be a factor.
FP, you out there??

I may get *****ed at for this, but ... Go down to Tokeland and drop your pots. We use to do well around the Jetty down in Westport as well. This is the best time of year to get em in my experience.
