GP2,
Would have really liked to joined you this month. I am headed out Monday for the warmer weather....
I see there's three "doctors" teaching this class. What the heck school did they go to? The big guy looks like he went there on a football scholarship.
... and.... I want to see their credentials when I come to the meeting.

Zen,
Tom Nelson puts on a great demo on downrigging. Guys that follow his instructions usually do pretty good. Even if you fish downriggers he has a few tips that can help.
Went to Tom's seminar last January as that's the one that prompted to me to join the SnoKing chapter of PSA.
Downriggin' has a few tips too that are worth learning.
Now... about them bogus doctors!

I have picked up several good tips from talking to Nelson and John Keizer. It is always well worth the time to listen to these 2 guys.

I said that we had 3 "certifiable piscatologists" who will put on a mini-seminar on fishing with downriggers...Tom Nelson is not going to teach this class...I talked to Tom Wednesday an d he told me about the confusion here. My power has been out until just now (1am). IN 2003 Tom was gracious enough to put on a mini-Salmon University class at SnoKing's first meeting at the Edmonds Yacht Club. Tom is a big part of Puget Sound Anglers and a really busy guy.
Hey Downriggin..I named this class after you!! Wish you could have made it...
Here's the bottom line: Tuesday the 13th at 7pm will be a fun meeting to attend. And if you feel lucky we have a Scotty electric downrigger to raffle off. I'm sure there will be members in the audience who have lots of downrigger fishing experience and will ask the "doctors" tough questions. As far as how the good doctors got into college I think it might have been on a Budweiser scholarship.

I want to be introduced as "DOCTOR SCANLON"....The same way that Jack Nicholson did it on "Cuckoo's Nest".

Hey Grandpa, I am looking forward to attending, could I get an address to the location so I can use mapquest to find my way. I am a south sound guy that doesn't know his way around up north.
Thanks,
Steve Rice
The flyer I saw (stuck up at Eds Surplus) referred to Doctor Steve, Doctor Ron and Doctor Murphy...
I plan on allowing Doctor Murphy to relieve me of $25 at the front door on Tuesday.

The meeting on fishing with downriggers is open to the public and everyone with a raffle ticket is in the running to win the Scotty #1101 electric downrigger. Members get a free raffle ticket so joining PSA does have some advantages.
