Take your time, wear your PFD, be careful - 03/13/04 06:59 PM

Just a little reminder.

"When anyone asks me how I can best describe my experience in nearly forty years at sea, I merely say, uneventful. Of course there have been winter gales, and storms and fog and the like. But in all my experience, I have never been in any accident... or any sort worth speaking about. I have seen but one vessel in distress in all my years at sea. I never saw a wreck and never have been wrecked nor was I ever in any predicament that threatened to end in disaster of any sort."

I got interested in the sprint boats when I saw them on ESPN a couple of years ago.

If I were able I would be racing one.

0 to 80 mph in 3 sec!! They'll snap your neck.

corky,

I bet some of the racers would give you a ride! Ive ridden in 2 sprintboats and 3 marathon boats.

The sprints were fun, But I thought the marathon boats were more fun. Imagine hitting 116 mph on a river in a 21' boat powered by 1200 horse twin turbo charged Merlin BB.
