A Start-To-Finish Drift Fishing Movie! - 08/12/04 12:12 PM

Not only did I manage to sneak out yesterday and go fishing, but we also managed to get on film, a start-to-finish catch and release of a nice little native steelhead on drift gear.

I'll put up a small and large movie. The small movie is 16MB.

Here is the small movie

The large movie is 35mb.

Here is the large movie

PS. The rod featured in this movie was the TH Custom "Forecastle" 1084 rod I won in the latest Piscatorial Pursuit raffle!

PPS. I'm sorry to report, that shortly after the filming of this movie, the rod shattered in to 4 pieces while I was trying to break a snag free from the bottom. \:\( I guess I won't have to worry about sending it back to TH, as I got pissed at the rod and let all the pieces float down the river. Although the rod blank was questionable, and probably highly defective, the quality of workmanship on this rod was world class. Oh well, looks like I'll just have to win another raffle and hopefully shoot for a little nicer rod! ;\)

What could be next?

I'm thinking it's about time my IMX 1025 snapped in half again on another Tule....

No. No other formats. Just Quicktime.

Since you can download it for free, the "Sympathy Factor" is way low this morning......

Damn, Parker, you're hard on your equipment. You and my buddy Steve should get together. I think the two of you could put Loomis and Lamiglass out of busness, or double it, one of the two.

The Cantellya river system is pretty far. It must have been a hell of a drive. \:D

Nice fish. Thanks for the vid.

Well that turned out allright... Wish we would have seen a few more fish around as usual. Turned out to be a bogus drive...
