I love it!

Look at Jiggin' "The fisherman lowers a piece of lead (usually with a hook on it) ..."

Pretty sad... just a little over 30-years ago and crabbin' was open year around!

I have a book form 1947, "Puget Sound Salmon Fishing." I may have to post a few pics of the contents...

If I remember right the limit on salmon was three shortly before that.

It's pretty surprising how similar the dailiy limits are now for salmon and crab more than 30 years later. If only our seasons were what they used to be!

Who said 1974 is "old".... seems like just a few weeks ago. The Eagles still rock it.

Up until 6ish years ago we could crab puget sound most of the year...I think it was closed (for pots) from tax day until juneish...I LOVED crabbing in the winter...no competition, green/mossy crabs stuffed with meat

I aggree with you there snit... Love that winter crab...

it used to be tradition that on thanksgiving day that my dad and I would crab in the morning while the turkey was cooking.

We used to have some fun days tending the crab rings in the fog...
