Kalama report - 06/17/05 01:35 AM
Today a buddy and I fished the Kalama from the "eddy" on down to the beginners hole. Pretty good day. Bobber and eggs was the ticket for us. We went on to limit with a nice bunch of chinooks. My buddy also released a nice native steelhead that took a pink worm. Not very much fishing pressure. If you wanna fish, the Kalama is the place. Here is how we rigged up: 20 lb main and 15 lb leader 1/0 hook. Eggs with sandshrimp under a bobber with 2 splitshots on the leader spaced evenly apart from the swivel on top to the hook on the bottom. Saw a couple other fish caught. as well as a chrome pig steelhead about 16 pounds or so.
