Coho in the canal and sound - 07/25/05 12:21 PM

I heard several reports that some of the Quilcene fish are showing up in the canal near Hoodsport and that there are a few in Puget Sound. Any confimation of this? Thanks, BMF

I haven't heard of any migrators yet. It's still pretty early but the resident coho are pretty thick if you know where to find them, only about 2-4 lbs. though. Jeff Head down to Monroe has been good and there has been some decent bank fishing on recent threads. We picked up a couple off Beals on Sat. Probably could have had more if we targeted them but we were after kings.

I put one of those little silvers on the barbee yesterday, man they are tasty little biggers.

I fished yesterday with some buddies on Tyee Charters. Fished for kings and CnR'd a couple to 20 lbs. Had a limit of silvers in a little over an hour. Had a double and a triple header! All the silvers were in the 4-6 pound range. Very tasty!
