My son's first steelhead!!

On Thursday the 21st, Jackson and I went out with Bob Barthlow of Rivers NW. We fished the Cow, and my son is now not just a steelheader but a steelhead catcher. I highly recommend Bob, we had a great time, equipment was top notch, he knows the river and was a good fishing companion. The Cow is tough, we had 3 bites in 6 hours, landed 2 of them (including the smallest hen steelhead I have ever seen, about 14"). The one in the pic was about 10lbs., put up a great fight and Jackson is still grinning about it. He did tell me that his arms got a little sore - Yeehaw!!!!!

Congrats! Fishing with Bob B. is a great experience as he's such a class act.

Congrates! How were the steak sandwiches? Bob is top notch.

Buck, we only did the 1/2 day trip, so no shore lunch for us. Jackson and I did have a good lunch at Spiffy's however!!!
