Got a little wet today

Wow.

Today was a little on the rainy side. Oof. I haven't been that drenched in a long, long time! The hood on my SIMMS jacket seems to have failed, as I was wet from my hood down.

Wow...nice kings and nice color to that water. The Simms jacket has one design flaw: the hood has to be up to keep you dry.

Actually, notice that Vision hooded sweatshirt under the jacket? I'm almost positive that the hood of the sweatshirt was exposed, got soaked, and was the cause of my problems.

It was like Forks kinda raining yesterday. Most of the day, too. Africa kinda wet.

I've got a new 06 SIMMS G3 Guide Jacket on order, but they are back ordered 3 months now! Oh well, I'm going to have to get me some of that stuff Todd was talking about (NickWax...er...Techwash) and spruce up my older SIMMS jacket until the new one arrives.

Oh yeah, and that river isn't the one I normally fish. Dang those Oregon fishing licenses. Oh the places they let you fish in Oregon. Amazing!

I've picked up Nikwax and Tekwash at Outdoor Emporium and REI. I have the Simms Jacket as well, the stuff works wonders!

Glad you got a chance to get after those fall fish after all! Nice fisheys ... we'll get ya on a hootchie run next year!

No toadage there Parker ... didn't even put the scale4 to that one, probably was 32-33 or so ... shows how deceiving pix can be sometimes.

While silvers daon't get the "toad" status that kings do ... here is a true trophy we got yesterday, 20+ pounds of silver on one of Corey's specials Sitting in the freezer of Still Life Studios now:

Just a quick Note From the Editor:

I'd like to apologize for stating that Picture #2 above was anything close to 30 pounds, let alone over 30 pounds.

Was an honest mistake, as I thought I had the photo of the big king on my camera. I did not. It was on Stlhdr1's camera and he finally sent me the photo.

The fish in Picture #2 would be hard-pressed to be over 20. NOT 30.

Here's the real 30+ pounder. At least that is what we guaged it to be.

That must have been a battle hooked in the tail and all. I'm surprised you went to the trouble of faking-in the blood on the snout and didn't edit the tail wound.

Sounds like someone didn't get to go fishing this weekend. Either that, or PMS is setting in on this Monday.

Spent the weekend practicing with the spud cannon. I put a cardboard cut-out of you and Bob out on my dock and destroyed them before the neighbors complained about the noise. I figured out how to get maximum velocity by pre-cutting my spuds. You boys are in the hurt zone.

Not 30 huh? I bet if Doc would have held it up, you'd SWEAR it was over 50!

That fish is over 30, I guarantee it. I've touched enough of them in my life to know it. It's kind of like reaching up the shirt of a woman, you know that feeling you get??
