Canned Crab

I was hoping someone could post a canned crab recipe or at least give me some tips. The Ball Blue Book has a pretty simple recipe, but I guess the crab loses flavor, can become stringy, etc according to other sources. I've never actually had canned dungeness before so I don't know what to expect.

Get a chamber vac sealer and go to town. We just had BIG Dungies from AK that were put up (in the shell) from last June that were GREAT.

Thanks for the info and video, AM and RvW. In all honesty there is no reason not to vacuum pack and freeze my crab. I was assuming canning was going to be a better method for long-term storage. I vacuum pack all my fish, so why not crab?
