Sturgeon? - 11/26/13 12:21 PM

Last Sunday I took a break from coho and went Sturgeon fishing for the first time ever. That is pretty dang fun, having never done it before I had a really fun time. The power is amazing, and the fillets you get are even better!

Now I have about 8 meals worth out of the fat 49 incher I brought home but need some recipe help.

What do you suggest?

Pretty much any way you like halibut but I find less is more.

Beer battered fish and chips are my favorite followed by substituting sturgeon for this one.

Soft-smoked sturgeon is really, really good. It has a naturally firm texture and is great on salads and such.

Cut in up into 1" cubes then throw is in a boiling pot of sprite or 7up for a minute or so......don't over cook it. dip in drawn butter, U could add a lil garlic to your butter if ya want.Good luck,
