Yamaha 50 Horse Jet

Yamaha 50 Horse Jet - 01/04/02 03:03 AM

For sale:

1991 Yamaha 50 HP, electic start, engine needs some work. All was working fine, pump, electic start just number 2 cylinder on compression test shows only 15-18 pounds, numbers 1 and 3 115+. Not tiller handle, have all manuals for it. I bought it new. Didn't want to overhaul, and the fish were biting, so I bought a Mercury 60/40.

Won't give it away but if the price is right I'd part with it. If not I'll sell parts off of it, probably worth more that way but would like to see someone "buy and rebuild" and have a nice motor.

5 inquiries--1st to email me, saying they will buy, gets the motor.

Not interested in selling parts, want someone to have a good complete motor. Would have a total of about 1/2 the cost of a new motor, way less if you can do the work yourself.

$1000.00, complete motor.......

Update----January 12, 2002

Now---$950.00

I just know that someone needs this motor, or maybe the start of your own jetboat. Will be a nice motor for a 14-15 boat. Can't buy this motor anymore, now all 4 cycle..

Would hate to "sell this off for parts".

Grasshopper:

You're getting closer. I know parts are expensive.........but have you looked at the price of a "newie".......I did, kinda scary but went to a bigger motor not so much for the horse power but because it had a larger pump. For my boat, sure made a difference.
