My trailer is leaking grease out of a wheel bearing beathead Kind of a long shot, but doesn anybody have an extra trailer lying around? Maybe just an axle...?

Sounds like it just needs some new seals. Wheel bearings on a trialer are easy to change and the new seals are cheap.

Chuck,
Any ideas about where to pick up seals/ bearing kits? From a dealer or would an auto parts store carry them...?

BGR,
They are a common item, any auto parts store will carry them. They are easy to do. They do come in different sizes though so you might want to disassemble one wheel and take them in so they can get the parts numbers off them.

Les Schwab will do it for you and its pretty cheap.

If you trailer for any distance, you may want to buy an extra set of bearings, bearing race and seals to carry with you just in case.
If you have Les Schwab do it for you, the crew there will probably let you watch them do it so if your bearings go out on the road, you can replace them yourself. The only real thing to be careful of is not tightening the main nut too tight or too lose so your bearings can spin freely without any wobble or binding. Don't forget the cotter pin.
