information on how to fish for walleye at potholes - 04/10/07 11:41 PM

I am going to potholes for the first time on thursday to fish for bass. If the fishing is not great we were going to try walleye, but know nothing about them. Does anyone have any helpful info or places where I could read about how to fish for them?

thanks

Just go to the bait store at Mordon's resort/campground and they will fix you up.
But the basic setup for me is a drop sinker 12-18" long trolling a wedding ring spinner with a night crawler. Simple but effective. Fish in 5-15' of water. Head straight out from the resort, you will notice an island on your right "Goat Island" good certain times of the year. BUT I always did better on "Crab Creek" all the way across the lake. Just troll in and out of the brush tops. You will see the tops of brush all over. Good luck.
