am new to boat fishing lookin for some guidence on bigger lakes

hi all i just got a 16ft lund laker and am lost in bigger lakes so i lookin for some help on fishin bigger lakes and maybe areas we can go in sound for crab , am in sammamish wa HELP!!!!!

what lakes are you interested in fishing and what typ of fish do you want to fish for?

If you got yourself in gear you could probably stick your Lund in Lake Washington and get in some Sockeye Fishing, but if you don't have the gear it might be pointless cause the stores are cleared out...

Sammammish has some nice bass, perch, cutthroat, rainbows that you can pursue.

Well i have tryed the lake up past the pass on the right for kokes havent had a bite, been on sammamish trolling for cutts or trout again with no bites and drifted for perch got a couple small ones, went out sat got one sockeye and again mon got 2 more so them i good on would like to get some cutts ether lake wash or sammamish

don't know anything about trout. but for perch you should try in water about 20'-25' off weedlines with mini jigs.

One thing that works trolling for cutts and bows is a small (Size 4/0) 50/50 dodger (Thats half chrome, half brass) with a black and yellow tube grub tied like a hootchie behind it about 10 inches. Troll that about 1.1 - 1.4 mph on the GPS about 12-15 feet below the surface. Leadcore line is easier and so with that, its 3 colors.

For perch, anchor in about 25 feet of water. Take a heavy sinker (I use 3/8oz on my ultralight setup with 4 lbs test line), slide it on the main line, tie on a swivel, then a short leader (the length of the leader is equal to the amound of line taken up by one turn of the reel handle), then I tie on a small jig (I like 1/32 oz shad darts), tip with a piece of worm and send to the bottom. When the big weight hits the bottom, turn the handle once so its only the jig bouncing bottom. The reason I use a heavy weight is to get the bait past the smaller perch that hang out in shallow depths. The big guys generally hang out near the bottom.

What lakes are you thinking of fishing? What type of fish?

any lakes have tryed the lake at the pass for kokes with not even a bite but have gotten a few cutts at sammamish so i am not picky would like to fish lake washington for rainbows or cutts i herd about its supposed to be underfished thanks Lloyd
