Eight of us shot 21 geese Saturday morning, got skunked on Sunday......it's amazing how smart them guys get in a hurry!

Were you guys hunting East or West?

BB:

We were up in Whatcom County......should have stayed home 'cause the wife called Sunday morning to tell me there were 30 geese in our pasture!

BTW: thanks for your comments on the AKC pup thread......I picked up a pup from a breeder, spent a little more than I ever had before, but the little guy already seems to have a lot more Lab instinct than other pups I've been around.....course that's a biased opinion wink

That's cool NOFISH.

What were the breeders names? Pedigree? I HOPE you got a black dog. laugh

Anyways if you have a questions about pup, like force fetching or any other training questions, feel free to PM me and send me your email addy. I'll help you out. I still haven't gotten a pup yet. Still looking for that breeding I want.

Oh, and if you need help culling those geese in your pasture, let me know and me a my Benelli will be right out. wink

I got him from Wind River Labs, and yeah, he's black. I've always handled the basic obedience stuff and let instict take over the hunting part, but i've been toying with the idea of sending this one to college laugh

I'd love to have ya over to help eliminate the fecal coliform problem in the Land of Many Berries, but between my wife (who names every duck, goose, and pheasant out back) and the ludicrous no-shooting laws in Kitsap County, all I get to do is look at "em beathead

Re: early goose anyone?? - 09/15/04 04:03 PM

That sucks. Those guys crapping all over the place can't be good. I think when pup gets older your wife won't have to worry about naming anymore of them nasty bastads. laugh

How old is your pup now? Do you happen to know the name of the sire and the dam of pup? I know wind river usually breeds their females with some pretty good sires. Just wondering in case they have any pups left, depending on when you got yours.

He's 9 weeks old......his parents are the current blacks on their website. I'm very pleased at this point with his athletic abilities and his temperment!
