I'm kind of new to the Puyallup area can anyone give me some direction to do a little bear hunting?

Go drive the logging roads until you see dinner plate sized piles of bear crap in the middle of the road. (looks like half digested berries) Once you found that, start hunting the clearcuts with berries nearby. Look for black stumps, then keep an eye out for the ones that move. No, I am not kidding.

Found my first bear ever, 2 minutes into bear hunting, exactly like that. Have fun and explore. Get away from others.

I would suggest North and East of you.

West would also work.

South of you is not a terrible thought either....

Hey if anyone wants to hunt bear out by the Clearwater let me know. I probably won't join you but I did find a road with bear chit every 30 yards for a mile in July. It was up high and not near any people.
As I don't plan on hunting it I'll give up the goods for the asking ( and some sausage/roasts if you are lucky).

I would try the areas around wilkeson, greenwater and enumclaw...
