Free bullets! - 06/10/14 02:13 AM
155 grain .311 bullets for some of my .30 caliber guns. Lead from wheel weights, antimony added to bring up to the correct hardness, and then cast, slowly, two at a time. Just shy of 1,000 tonight. Need to add gas checks and run them through the Lub-a-matic. Adds a bit of time to the reloading process, but the cost is cheap. Add about $0.04/each for a gas check and lube, and they are done.
Black Bart was kind enough to gift me a production pot, an ass-ton of molds, and an RCBS Lub-a-matic about a year ago. Been putting them to use, and to date I've cast .309-.311, .356, .358, .429, .452, .457-.459, and a pile of shotgun slugs should the rabbits ever over run the farm.
Good times!
Putting it to use, sir. Thanks again!
P.S. As long as I have lead, I'll have bullets.
