Getting any?

Already started scouting and doing a little hunting for coyotes.

Here's the most recent data dump.

This guy was 5 minutes ahead of me.

Had one bear within 15 yards last night but all I could see was a little black. Small bear. Curious to see what that scent free thing was in a chair. Woofed at him and he skittered off. Maybe 60-80lbs. Tiny.

Had another bear crops the trail I was on about 80 yards away. Just ran across so no opportunity for a shot.

I don't think that bird is a grouse. I might be a crow. Look at the tail.

I was close last night.

I was roughly 100 yards down that road. The one night the wind blows up the road, not down.

Freshly showered and clean clothes stored in a bag with fir boughs. Also sprayed down with scent free/scent away.

Breaking the fir boughs, stepping on the pine cones, etc before they go in the sack?? smile

Basically. Twisted the boughs in my hands to release some scent, plus a lot of scent free spray.

It truly helps a zillion times over.
Adds a ton more scent.
I was simply getting it out there for those that may be scent challenged.

Nice pics - go stick em' DF.

Back in my college Whitetail days in Michigan, we used fermented apples and carrots in our clothes bags in those areas which didn't allow baiting. Sneaky sneaky. We literally had deer run to our stands. thumbs

I use the fir boughs. Just trying to stay as scent free as possible and mimic what is there.

Agreed. That was just an anecdotal story...out here in WA, its fir boughs and the like.

I hope you connect soon. thumbs

One of those Thermacell bug repellents actually works pretty well to conceal your scent as well, and they aren't very expensive..

Nothing can conceal my scent and I sure as hell ain't gonna "lock" it around my body.
