Sorry for your loss. Prayer sent.
Had one helluva time with angry bugling bull elk and docile berry eating bears on Sunday up the highway, Marty Stouffer Wild 'merca kinda stuff, now the road is closed.

Will trade: early archery season for spring morel season.

Spent all Monday and early Tuesday morning in Northen Douglas County lending a hand to good friends who were fighting to save whatever they could from the Pearl Hill fire. Never seen anything like that inferno...

Yeah, I drove thru several fires, and dust storms, in and around road blocks, to get home from turkey hunting...it was like the world was on fire over there.

Fish on...

No huntin', no fishin', no college ball. My vacuum is lovingly staring at me from the corner of the room like a plastic devil of mockery & failed dreams. Why even go on at this point? What's there left to live for? Just fade me.

Snoho system Coho.

Just let me be a dramatic, whiny bitch ok?

I'll rub one out, harvest some trophy Kale and will be right as rain in no time.

I'm a survivor.

All state DNR, Weyerhaeuser, Sierra Pacific, Rayonier tree farm & lands are shutting down or are already shut down. Basically, all timber company property from what I'm hearing and seeing. Including the OP!

Hearing word that the National Forest Service is getting ready to shut down all or part of Gifford Pinchot, with others to following suit including WDFW lands. My guess is they shut the whole state down for forest recreational activities except the national parks soon (national parks almost never close, 'cept for fed budget reasons).

Is this where I complain about tag refunds?

HA! I crack myself up sometimes.

Let's hope the NOAA forecast is true for next week. Looks like plenty of rain to calm things down:

I don't see the National Forest getting closed.
I see that as an excuse for you not going and killing a bull.

Well...would you look at that!

You shut your whore mouth. Don't make me madder than I already am. I will cut you.

Plans A - C are all fired out. There are no other plans or places I know to go. I have very limited vacation, so why burn it now - for this? I'm saving it for an extended late season hunt in more favorable conditions in the places I know and have access to.

And why are you even typing here Mister? Why aren't you out there getting your bull? Don't you have a string of ponies need walkin'? WTF are you doing here talking to me?

Re: Fire Season... - 09/17/20 10:31 AM

Just got back from a turn and burn pack on out a big Coastal jungle bull. 7 x 5. My buddy did us a favor by only shooting it 6.5 miles from the truck, instead of 6.51 miles. eek2

I seriously contemplating blowing off the next week and going back in there tomorrow.
