NW Special Goose - 02/21/02 12:03 AM

My hubby says to tell those of you that have permits to get out there. 16 birds for 4 hunters
on Sunday, 13 birds today for 4 hunters. The birds started flying low last weekend and they are
still doing it. Mostly Lessers and Taverners.

Was that on the Oregon side? Two weeks ago they were WAY UP HIGH! Gonna pick up some specialty shotshells tomorrow at Sportco. Saw thousands of geese, they were up about 60 yards all day. Finally scratched three.

Yes, on Sauvie Island. He was not happy today though, they were too high, but there are more of them than ever.

Tell the hubby if'n he hears someone to the east(Washington), on Sunday, that it is Dogfish firing some warning shots to scare the geese back to Oregon. Hopefully, the geese won't heed the warnin'.
