cowlitz, elochomen, kalama - 01/11/00 12:40 PM
Finally have a couple days open this weekend for a fishing trip, and looking at heading south to the Cowlitz, Elochomen or Kalama. Can anybody help me out on the condition of theses rivers? Are they fishable right now or are they blown out?

Call Pritchards at 1-360-673-4690...
umrules haven't been to the rivers but reliable individual indicate as of sunday the 9th the elochomen and the kalama rivers out of shape might be wasting time on those rivers and if you enjoy combat fishing blue hole i guess would be an option.

Well Walleye, plans are already set so gonna give it a shot. Real men and real fisherman aren't afraid of a little rain!!

Fished the Kalama Saturday, it was rising, off color but not blown completely. Right now rivers in SW are dropping due to the cold weather. More snow than rain. If it holds the Kalama will probably be clear and maybe a little lower than average but probably very fishable. Good luck.

I fished it on saturday also, at the last put in and didn't touch a thing, but heard rumor that there were fish in the beginers hole that were caught. If the river has been dropping all week I am sure that those fish are on the move an could be upriver now. There is a drift right at the hatchery that looks like it should hold fish I would try there if it is legal.

umrules, This is my first time using this BB and it looks extremely informative. Fished the Elochoman Saturday and Sunday and since I think I know who you are, you know how I did. Fish On!

Nice to see you on the board DD, and that sure was a nice bright hen you picked up last Sunday. Might have to try the Eloch again next weekend as long as she stays in shape. From the looks of the weather, the river should be in even better shape.
Tight Lines!
