that fish was WHERE?! - 12/23/00 12:00 AM
Caught a Stilly steelie low in a tailout behind a rock in about 4' of water using a bobber and eggs--couldn't believe it'd be laying in such low gin clear water. Makes me take a second look at all those slicks behind protruding rocks diferently...
How was the green today?

I always forget which is which, by 4' are you meaning 4 feet or inches? because 4 inches would be impressive but 4 feet makes more sense.

Feet. It's just that the water was so clear, and so many people had walked by that rock, that I couldn't believe a fish would lie there...I think my fishing buddy thinks I'm lying to him!
Y'know, I went back to that rock today, and even though the water was higher (the rock was submerged) and clouded up, I hook and landed a 31" buck...that was laying in FRONT of that rock.
Think I'll look for some similar rocks in the Green tomorrow, since I'm visiting in Tacoma for a few days...
