so i went to three rivers today in hopes to get new anchor rope. but decided to find out exactly what i am looking for. my DB has the standard rope willie puts on there boat. however my boat is not here right now. so i am wondering is it 3/8 that comes with the boat? and is 1/2" what i am looking to replace it with? also i have the pinch type cleat on my DB so i am wondering if 1/2" is too big to fit through the eye on the cleat. thanks for anyone who has insight on this

Don't they have Willie boats you could check out right there?

I usually buy 3/8 braided....

Most drifters come with a 3/8 braided line. When it wears out I replace it with 1/2in line.5/8 is to big.1/2in is easier to work with.Good luck,

I dunno about DB's, but 1/2 is easier to grip and pull than 3/8.

you will want to get 1/2in line the 3/8 just sucks to work with and you will want to get rid of that pinch cleat and invest in a higher quality and safer system. i bought a lee lock and havent had any problems i just got my first driftboat last december and have worked out alot of glitches since

Camo poly braid gets my vote, stealthy, retains little water and it floats. Catch 22 on diameter, 1/2" easy to handle, more water drag, 3/8 not as easy to handle, but less water drag. Take your pick for the water and anchoring conditions at hand, each one has its time and place and the weight of the anchor being used at the time.

My brother gave me his old climbing rope, used for repelling. They have to replace after a certain amount of use. I think it is 11m.m. for size. So go to R.E.I. and talk to them. To bye new would be a tad bit spendy, so find someone that needs to up date.
