Agreed on almost all your points but......you missed the point I was making. DrifterWA posted, in part:
Too many keep "doing well".....could mean, either a early ocean shut down OR the in-river sportsmen, come september will have more early shut downs.......
My take on the statement was that he was fearful the good ocean fishing would shorten or eliminate seasons inside. Maybe I misread it. My point was each of our seasons are set. Irregardless of how well the ocean crew does, when they hit their quota....they're done-and the inside fisheries still have their established seasons thereafter.
As I said, I don't recall a recreational ocean season being allowed to go beyond it's quota at the expense of pre-set inriver seasons. That was the extent of my argument....nothing more, nothing less.
