The soothing sounds of the water rushing past,
sandy beaches and rocky gravel bars align my path as I walk your banks.
I have spent the past 9 months collecting trash left by those who don't appreciate you as much as I do.

Your clarity and levels change almost constantly, always keeping me in check and forever challenging me. You don't give up your fish easily, and I admire you for that. It drives me even more so, you have humbled me many times over no matter how much I am convinced I had you figured out.

I wake up before sun up and hike along my spots looking and reading your seems, and eddies and pools. Even when I don't get so much of a bite from your fish I still cherish every second.

You have spent many, many hours with the men in my family that came before me, and through that, we will always be connected.

I have the utmost respect for you.

I grew up in that god for sakin place called Yakima. I never ever saw the Yakima rv as nothing more than a river cutting through the eastside desert. with all the diversion dams and canals around every bend, just doesn't make it a very scenic flow.
