I was wondering if everybody who was in their system before 2007 received the notice about the breach from ACTIVEOutdoors, who are responsible for the IT. I haven't seen any posts on here about it so I hope I'm not special.

I got the notice, too. The notice said no financial info was compromised, but I'm a skeptic.

Me, too. Not my first, and likely not my last.

So far, none of the compromises I've been subject to have led to any fraudulent activity (at least, not that I've heard of). Almost makes me wonder if the identity fraud protection software people aren't paying people to hack databases, with the intent of increasing demand for their products... almost.

You mean like all the anti-virus companies whose operatives are recruited from the ranks of hackers writing all the worst viral code?

Things that make ya go , HMMMMMMM.....

Yup. The reason a lot of hardcore geeks get into hacking is that if you're good enough, corporations will be lining up for the chance to lure you onto their cyber security teams. The REALLY good ones get grabbed up by Vegas casinos and the like.

Seems it takes one to know one, whether it's crooks or anything else.
